Hey Guys, Guys... check this out. It's time to take McCain apart... But the Freepers have started
without us. Check it out:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1964513/posts

Among my favorite is this wonderful laundry list:

"It's the wacko end of our party -- the people who have a whole litmus test of hard-nosed immigration issues and social issues," Hellon says.
Okay, Mike. Let's take another look at the list of "wacko" items on the "hard-nosed litmus test:

John McCain is the alleged "Reagan" Republican who.....

1. Wanted to be John F’n Kerry’s running mate....
2. Was a corrupt member of the “Keating Five”....
3. Has been duped by the Euro-socialist “global warming” alarmists....
4. Wants to roll out the red carpet for the illegal alien hordes....
5. Was one of two senators (along with the ignoble Lincoln Chafee) who originally joined the Democrats in voting against the Bush tax cuts....
6. Proudly put his name to the most dangerous assault on free speech (McCain-Feingold) in the nation’s history....
7. Opposes the effective interrogation technique known as “waterboarding”, and wants to close Gitmo so he can bring captured terrorists to the United States where he can "lawyer them up" and give them access to the courts....
8. Joins the environmental extremists in opposing drilling for oil in a relatively miniscule section of the frozen, barren, wasteland known as ANWR....
9. Is older than Bob Dole was when Dole ran for President in 1996, and who would be the oldest man in history to try to win the Presidency as a major party candidate....
10. Impeded conservative initiatives in the Senate at nearly every opportunity, according to a genuine conservative, former Senator Rick Santorum (R - PA).

The problem, Mike, is that you consider the above to be the concerns of "the wacko end of our party".
Well, take a hike, Mike. And take your liberal wacko McCain with you.

Some of those points about McCain would win him points with people on our side. Remember, No Democrat in his right mind would vote for McCain. But McCain seems so leftist to them that they can't stand him.

Of note for future use: 2 and 9.
Difficult for a Democratic Candidate to attack: 5, 7, 8 and 10.

Then, later, there is this:

So far, McCain has not won a majority anywhere. And in fact, he hasn't even won a plurality of actual Republicans in many places, and he's yet to win the conservative republican vote anywhere.

And according to this article, he's only got 41% of his own state republicans supporting him. Certainly the undecideds are waiting to learn more about him.

So it appears a majority is not all that interested in McCain.

And lastly, THESE have to be some PAINFUl memories for McCain:

1. 6th from the bottom of his Annapolis class.
2. Didn't want to go into the Navy so much.

3. Wife lobbied for YEARS to get him out of NVN, comes back, divorces her cuz she ws sick.

4. Marries rich chick, becomes liberal.

You know what? He SORT of sounds like John Kerry.

Yeouch.

10. Hey now.
I've seen a lot of anti-DLC, orange-hat types, in the ranks popping up.

50-staters, progressives sick with appeasing the corporatists... yeah.

Of course, yes, we have a pack of trolls, but they're pretty easy to spot. Issue screamers, drudge pointers, etc.

3. so they think Santorum was the true conservative
A crooked degenerate like Santorum, obsessed with man-on-dog sex, is what they view as a true conservative? You know, I really wish the freepers would get exactly the candidate they want as their Presidential nominee, because the resulting Democratic landslide would set the Republicans back for generations!

11. Don't forget that Santorum is one of the boys
He and the Saudis are like peas in a pod. He's just another low life rich elitist wannabe and like a lot of nouveau riche, he tends to overplay the part.

6. Sounds like Newt, not Kerry
"Wife lobbied for YEARS to get him out of NVN, comes back, divorces her cuz she ws sick."

Remember, Newt served divorce papers on his wife while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery.

As we get closer to November I'm going to go looking for material from the 2000 GOP presidential primary. I'm sure I'll be able to find all the smears against McCain anyone could want. I'm sure I won't be willing to stoop low enough to use them all.

Like the one Junior and Rove came up with in South Carolina where he had a daughter who was not even his own kind!! Oh my God, McCain has an illegitimate black child, string him up!!! The truth is, the McCains found Bridget at an orphanage in Bangladesh, brought her to the United States for medical treatment, and ultimately adopted her. Bridget has dark skin.

But truth did not prevail. Junior won in South Carolina by using this smear.

8. You're whistling in the wind, unfortunately. Although people here SHOULD be talking
about things like that, they're too busy calling each other juvenile names.

But thanks for posting it anyway. I especially appreciate you having the intestinal fortitude to be able to go over to Illiterate City to pick up those quotes without losing your dinner. Thanks for doing that, so I don't have to.

9. In a few weeks, we can join in. Until then we have to stop someone from stealing the election.
And I ain't talking about Obama.

...not quite a limbot, but sold on the "liberal left wing media bias" bullcrap.

Would vote for Obama over McCain, Really hates McCain.

Would vote for McCain over Clinton. Hates Clinton worse.

Doesn't matter because he'll be voting in MA, but I don't think Hillary will be able to undo 16 years of hate radio in one General Election campaign. I still think she'd win, but it would be a squeaker.

Frankly, I'm drained. I don't want to deal with a squeaker of an election -- the Diebold, the caging, the 4am vigil to watch who gets the last critical swing state, etc. etc. etc. So GoBama.

15. Late-Night TV Early Indicator
You can't sit through one late-night TV monologue without at least one McCain-is-old joke. I hate to seem overconfident, because the Dems have repeatedly demonstrated an almost supernatural ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in recent years, but I really think that's all she wrote for McCain.
