When the message and the same words are repeated exactly by Republicans it is called "talking points |
To me, Deval Patrick and Obama are sharing the same talking points in a common campaign to inspire the public. No more no less. "talking points" NOT plagiarism.

2. It is clearly NOT plagiarism but |
since Obama is riding such a wave of support because of his soaring rhetoric, the fact that some of that rhetoric was not original to him, does give one pause.

3. Pause? As in the Clintons thinking "Why didn't we say that?"... |
Again, the Clintons attack the source when they have no argument for the message.

5. seriously? this gives you reason to pause? |
you are aware that they employ speechwriters, correct? Personally I'm *amazed* that he writes as much of his stuff as he seems to. I can't think of any modern politician for which that has been true.

9. Of course, but you are undoubtedly aware |
that Sen Biden's unattributed use of portions of a speech given in Great Britain sank an earlier bid for the presidency.
It is one thing to employ speech writers and then to revise their work to make it your own. It is quite another to give exactly the same speech already delivered by someone else.

7. Agreed. Mountains out of molehills to try to diminish Obama, |
because the Clinton camp apparently has nothing else. It's sad really.

8. Right, it's just the same movement redux |
Same words, same affect, same style, same message, same chants from the crowd--nothing to see here folks.

They are sharing their talking points but the media was attacked by the Clinton campaign a couple of days ago so they felt they had to attack Obama so they would not be perceived as unbalanced.
