Will either of the Democratic candidates seize the opportunity re: Castro leaving? |

To announce a change in our country's policy towards Cuba?
This is the perfect opportunity to do so. This is the perfect opportunity to say that we should end the ridiculous trade embargo against Cuba. To begin to make overtures to the new regime in Cuba.
Or will South Florida override any possibility of that?

1. I hope both candidates come out for ending this evil policy. |

There are enough young people of Cuban heritage in FL who don't identify with our ridiculous policy. Remember, we were against Castro for being communist and for cozing up to the Russians. Now we deal quite comfortably with the largest communist nation on earth (China) and Russia is one of our biggest allies and certainly all the former Soviet Union sattelites are our best buddies now. So the policy toward Cuba is not only outdated it has to be called for what it is: political pandering to a voting block that is more harmful to the US than Castro ever was.
