Two simple reminders why we need to have a Democrat as our next president.
As we continue to bicker about who is the more condescending candidate, and who said what about whom, and take delight in the latest faux outrage 'scandal' about the other candidate, the world marches on. Today, for example we have two stories on the frost page of the NY Times.

"Fidel Castro resigns as Cuba's President"

"Musharraf's Party Accepts Defeat"

These are two turning points in the history of troubled countries, and represents an opportunity for the US to immediately develop stronger relations with both. The tone we strike at the onset of negotiations with these two new parties could affect foreign policy for decades.

There's a lot at stake in this election.

Don't forget it.
