Some of Bill Clinton's "Cheap" Words
So Hillary says words are "cheap." That they don't mean much. OK, so here are some words of Bill Clinton's, another very gifted political orator. Hm. Just words??? Don't get me wrong, I think they're all good words, even if some are very close to what others before him have said. Unlike the Hillary campaign I won't begrudge him that and take the low road of branding him a "plagiarist." The point is, when Obama is speaking powerful words, Hillary and her people trivialize it. But what about Bill's many lofty words and speeches?? I smell some bigtime hypocrisy here.

So here you are. Several of Bill's most memorable "cheap words.":

"I still believe in a place called Hope."

"There is nothing wrong with America that can't be fixed by what is right with America."
(Others have expressed similar ideas.)

“Big things are expected of us, and nothing big ever came of being small.”

“If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.” (Similar to what MANY others have said; i.e. Vince Lombardi: "Winners never quit and quitters never win." Etc.)

“We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.”

“Sometimes when people are under stress, they hate to think, and it's the time when they most need to think.” (Many others have said similar things.)

“I like that about the Republicans: the evidence does not faze them, they are not bothered at all by the facts.” (Similar to Daniel Patrick Moynihan: "You have a right to your own opinion but not your own facts.)

“Success is not the measure of a man but a triumph over those who choose to hold him back.” (Others have made similiar comments.)

“Globalization is not something we can hold off or turn off . . . it is the economic equivalent of a force of nature -- like wind or water.”

“We should, all of us, be filled with gratitude and humility for our present progress and prosperity. We should be filled with awe and joy at what lies over the horizon. And we should be filled with absolute determination to make the most of it.”

3. I would love to have him back as President also all those
phrases were not made at the same time. BO jumps around and makes all his slogans in one appearance and never says anything. He can't hold a candle to Clinton in the speech making or intellect.

8. yes that really made up for all the hell he was put through
fairly or unfairly. I am surprised he even tries still given that the cannibals have tried to eat him. Bad enough that the repukes tried everything even the false accusation of MURDER to smear him. If it were me i would be a bitter old man hating my party and everyone in it. So i give him props just to get out there and at least give it a shot.

Clinton Used Giustra's Plane, Opened Doors for Mineral Deals

http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20080219/pl_bloomberg/akd3k5dmu3sy

Feb. 19 (Bloomberg) -- On June 21, 2005, Bill Clinton flew to Mexico City aboard a private jet that belonged to a Canadian investment banker he was meeting for the first time. The introduction paid off for both men. Clinton was borrowing the jetliner to begin a four-day speaking tour of Latin America that would pay him $800,000. Frank Giustra of Vancouver was forming a friendship that would make him part of the former president's inner circle and gain him introductions to presidents of Kazakhstan and Colombia, where he bought mineral rights.

Giustra, 50, has since put his plane at Clinton's disposal at least a dozen times to raise money for charity, his wife's presidential campaign or himself, according to U.S. flight records and spokesmen for Clinton and Giustra. The Canadian businessman has become one of the largest donors to the Clinton Foundation, pledging half his future minerals earnings in a way that ties the foundation's success to his own.

``If former President Clinton is making decisions about where to put the charitable efforts of the Clinton Foundation based even partly on where he's likely to benefit personally, or see his friends benefit, then that clearly is a classic conflict of interest,'' says Aaron Dorfman, executive director of the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy in Washington.

12. No, not a dirtbag, but that whole period where Bill and George (the first)
were attached at the hip was odd.

7. Hey, according to Hillary, Bill's words count.
She uses them enough in her own speeches.
