2. Not much to tell in my rural precinct, but turnout will be much higher than normal
for a cold, primary day in central Wisconsin. Numbers when my son voted at 11:30 suggest this will top the "average" general election in turnout but will not be a record.

Since the campaigns worked harder to push turnout in metro areas, this is still good in my opinion.

5. Warm is definitely the goal
I've been sick with a cold for a week now and tired of it. But we've had so much of this below zero crap this year that I think I'm getting used to it.

We've started a class action law suit against Winter in the Wisconsin forum. Check it out. It's pretty funny.

18. LOL! I especially loved the poem.
I lived up there for about 4 years. (in the olden days)
Reading the poem brought it all back.
:D

7. No stories from me...I went in at 10 a.m.--hoping to beat the crowds!
I was successful--only an elderly couple in front of me. BUT...I was voter 161 at 10 a.m.! That's big! I live in a very little town in Wisconsin--sometimes there are only a few hundred voters total in an election. SO.....while I have no direct evidence besides my voting number--I'm predicting that Wisconsin turnout is great!

vote for Clinton, I'm sure she'll do okay. I googled exit polls and came across this.

http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=1162

Wisconsin exit poll data:

12pm - Expect this to be a tight race between Obama and Clinton with the possibility of upset. Hillary Clinton may have closed the gap in the past two days. On the GOP side, remember that John McCain always under-performs in the early exit polls.

(February 19th, 2008.)

A poster posted the following:

Wisconsin conservative talk show hosts are encouraging conservative voters to vote for Hillary Clinton in today’s primary. If you don’t want Hillary to be the next president, then do not cross-over and vote for her in the primary. All polls indicate that the Dems are likely to take back to the White House this year - Wisconsin could be the push Obama needs to stop Clinton once and for all. CROSSOVER TO CLINTON AT YOUR OWN RISK!

11. Steady crowd at Gordon Commons on the Campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Everyone was being helped, seated at a table either registering, or getting their ballot. This was at 12:00 CT. Looks to me like a decent turnout for those college kids at a place where a lot of the freshman live.
