Sorry, but I have seen this all before. All the hope, all the promises, all the bright-eyed college students who think their views mean anything. I know, I used to be one of them. (That's right kids, this is where you're headed.) No one can lose this race for the Democrats this year except for the Democrats. And we are, just like we always do. Okay we had two centrist, Southern governors, but they only prove that even when we win we still lose. Don't believe me? What has the new Democratic Congress done to reign Bush in? Up until this week two things: Jack and shit.
So, now that we are down to these two empty suits, who do you want? For myself, I see Hillary as the lesser disaster. Her campaign sucks and no one likes her (except me and a few others around here). Still, I'm pretty sure she is no worse than what we already know. On the other hand, O is doing well now, but the R's haven't begun on him yet. If the R's can make Gore and Kerry look like assholes, they will turn O into sausage. Whe have to be insane to nominate anyone named "Hussein." And about the only thing O hasn't promised us is the moon.
On the other hand, HC won't have a cake walk either. She was made the embodiment of everything that is wrong with out traditional values by the RW media since 1992. I think one reason O is doing so well is that white men are crossing over to vote "anybody but HRC." I did the same damn thing myself in 2000. I became a R. for the sole purpose of stopping Bush. Didn't work, of course, and I voted for and actively supported the guy who wasn't an idiot in November.
Sorry, Edwards, Biden, Dodd and Richardson; we had you and we blew it.
