first hint from Politico (to take with grain of salt): Big Night for Obama?
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 06:02 PM by blitzen
Democratic officials with access to exit polls say Senator Obama looks like he’s headed for a huge win in today’s Wisconsin primary. The polls could turn out to be off, as they have in the past. But the officials’ revelation reflects the chatter in the campaigns in advance of the 9 p.m. Eastern poll closing.

The party officials said that if the trends reflect in the interviews with hundreds of Badger State voters, the news out of the primary will be: Obama encroached deeply into three of Clinton’s core groups of voters – women, those with no college degree and those with lower incomes – while giving up none of his own. However, Clinton looked to be winning senior citizens, the officials said.

Stay tuned for real numbers.

1. Remember: If Obama wins it doesn't matter
But if Clinton wins, it matters.

All I have to say is - come on over Wisconsin, you've got lots of company. Join the party!

8. As Obama said from Niles, Ohio..
"He has occasionally used lines of mine. I have occasionally used some words of his. I know Sen. Clinton has used words of mine as well. I don’t think that is something that workers here are concerned about," he said, adding that "I'm sure I should have" given credit to Patrick.

Bottom line: "I really don’t think this is too big of a deal," Obama said.

My son on Kauai said the analysts last night were saying hilary's attempts at distraction weren't going over and the Country is in such a state they they wanna know about the issues now. So much for hilaryland picking up pointers from karl rove on weapons of mass distraction.

I talked to my SIL in Hilo today
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 06:41 PM by Mz Pip
and she was going to the caucuses. I think this is the first time she's ever participated in one and is really excited about it. She's 59. She says there seems to lots of Obama support on the Big Island.

Well, we shall see.

28. Until 5 PM
Then they get a "bathroom break", at which point they all go and leak it. The lock-in is to prevent a repeat of 2004, when numbers were released before being properly weighted that showed Kerry winning.

But remember, these exit polls, even if they have been properly weighted, may be off because people are still voting. At this time 2 weeks ago, it looked like Obama was going to win Massachusetts and New Jersey. So get on the phones and make sure he wins tonight!

The networks have been less protective of the exit poll data in this year's primaries.

29. Somewhere else shows early exit polls have Clinton leading by 4
as of 5:53 pm. I won't post a link since it's a RW site, but it's all I could find on the interwebs. Too early to get hopes up.

First Word on Wisconsin Exits

I'm hearing that after two waves of data, Wisconsin looks like a blowout in favor of Obama, in the neighborhood of 60 percent to 40 percent.
