The only way to truly repudiate Bush is by voting for Hillary
The only way for Americans to make their opinion of the two Bush presidencies absolutely clear is for Hillary to be elected to replace W, just as Bill was elected to replace GHW.

To be beaten by a woman and -- more important -- by a despised Clinton would stick in the craw of every Bush lover and every wingnut in America -- FOREVER! It would put a fitting cap on the Reagan-Gingrich-Bush years, marking them as a complete failure.

An Obama victory is not the same. It would not be a statement that America repudiates and rejects the Bush years. It would only symbolize that the country is ready for a new direction, that we now want to"get along" with ther Repukes instead of forcing them out of influence against their will, which is the only way to deal with Republicans. An Obama victory would not signify that America thinks the previous administration has been a horrible one. Heck, even many Republicans are leaning toward Obama, which ought to indicate how much they fear having Hillary rubbed in their faces, although that's exactly what they deserve. They also don't want to face the kind of payback Hillary would bring. With Obama, the Repukes will get away with everything they've done to us over the past 20 years. We'll all play nice-nice, now that ther Repukes HAVE to.

If you hate Republicans, If you hate Bush, If you hate what the Clinton-hating wingnuts and the corrupt MSM have done to your country, the very best way to get back at them is to make them swallow what they most hate, and that's HRC.

I think HRC backers can do much better than that.

3. Are you fucking kidding me?
Have you seen the dirty tricks Hillary is engaging in?

She's now going to go after pledged delegates, in her desperate, shitty attempt to win
this election--which she erroneously believes is her frickin birthright.

She's got more tricks up her sleeve than Rove and Bush combined!

Who in the hell are you kidding?

Anyway, she won't get any Indy votes, NOT ONE Republican vote and 1/3 of our party
hates her with the passion of a thousand white-hot suns.

Have you *noticed* the polls showing Obama beating McCain and Hillary losing to him?

Your post makes no sense.

4. I'd rather have the best-qualified candidate...
...win the Presidency than the one who represents the biggest "nyah-nyah" to Bush. Allowing our hatred of the Bush regime to determine the next President is simply giving them even more power. Clinton should only be President if she is the person best suited to the job. The same goes for Obama. A decision based on revenge is a bad decision.

6. Why REWARD Clintons who PROTECTED BushInc when they should've been in jail
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 06:52 PM by blm
by the end of 1994 not planning their return to the WH in 2000.

Bill siding with the secrecy and privilege of the Bushes and their powerful cronies led directly to Bush2, 9-11 and this Iraq war.

TeamClinton also undermined the campaigns of the last two Dem nominees, protecting Bush2 for Hillary2008.

You want to reward the backstabbing of Kerry campaign:
http://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=13354

Reward Bill's THREE WEEK BOOK TOUR defending Bush against the criticisms of the 'left' being represented at that time by our Dem NOMINEE?

Reward Carville's sabotage of Ohio Dem voters so Kerry WOULDN'T have what he needed to challenge?

7. If all we wanted to do was punish Republicans and anger Bush...
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 06:52 PM by IanDB1
... then we'd have to elect Helen Thomas as President and Michael Moore as Vice President.

Look, Hillary wouldn't be a bad president.

But this is absolutely the worst argument in her favor I have heard yet.

is to vote for someone who did not support his immoral invasion and occupation of Iraq.

12. Guess what? My purpose in this is not to piss on Republicans
It's to elect a President who will actually accomplish something.

Also, I like his farm and rural policy. If Clinton had as good a farm/rural policy I would be supporting her.

14. Wrong on so many levels it's hard to know where to start.
I'm not just voting to stick it to repukes. I'm voting to see some serious rollback of the bush agenda, and I believe that Obama has a much better chance of doing that and making positive Progressive inroads.

It's absurd to think that Obama won't fight. He's showing us through this campaign just what a smart fighter he is. And you seem to be unaware that odds are better than good that the next dem president will have a strong dem majority in Congress to work with.

I don't think you achieved anything in this post. I'm damn sure you didn't change any minds.

15. Riiight!!!
That is the biggest crock of stink I've read in a long time. I don't feel obligated to vindicating the Clintons on many levels, particularly since they spent so much time cozying up to the Bushes over the past decade.

getting 'back at' Bush? Doesn't matter who we support, just piss them off? Sorry, no--time to move on. That's a pretty weak sauce argument.
