Total tally of Repuke crossover votes from all the states.
Does anyone know where we can get this information?

The DNC should take this into consideration. They should be conscious enough not to let the Repukes choose our candidate.

2. So, what would a total tally tell you? You'd still have to figure
out how many were doing it maliciously? Good luck on that!

3. I seem to remember a 3% number for Feb. 5th, I don't think they can choose our candidate
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 08:58 PM by Johnny__Motown
I also think the highest number I have heard for any state was 8%. Still not enough to choose our candidate since Obama has been winning by much larger margins lately.

Again this is all off the top of my pointy little head, don't bet the farm on it.

7. Winning by larger margins because they are freer now that McCain
has a lock on the Puke nom.

The problem is that they could influence by district which is how the delegates are apportioned.

5. I know a lot of Republicans who are jumping ship (at least for this election)
My mom, who has never voted for a Democrat in her life is supporting Obama. It almost stopped my heart when I heard that. And it's not a primary vote for "strategic" reasons. She intends to vote for him in the GE no matter the Republican candidate.

12. I have two co-workers exactly like your Mom....
they are even Obama campaign volunteers, replaced their bush/cheney with obama '08 bumperstickers.
They are sick to death of the religious right controlling the party, but they hate McCain with a passion.

6. Go to CNN.
On each state you can view the exit polls(page 3) and see the percentage of pukes and Indys that voted Dem. It's not a hard total, or a total of all states, but it is something.

10. Russert just said that fully 1/3 of the voters in the Dem primary were
Republicans and Independents. Obama was getting close to 88% of them. This ought to mean something to the Dem leadership. Rethugs get to select our nominee while MI and FL don't have a say.

11. Exactly. McCain is making it obvious he wants to run against Obama right now
No wonder rethugs vote overwhelmingly for Obama.

13. while your searching for that I would also be interested in the percent of republicans
that are sick of the war and want it to end - I live near camp Pendleton and they come up to me all the time to talk to me about my Obama sign saying that if McCain is the nominee they are voting Obama
