5. He was quite popular in MN, too
He came in 3rd, only a point or two behind McCain. Which is really really funny, because McCain's national co-chair is MN's governor, Tim Pawlenty.

Of course, our Repubs here are considered to be some of the batshit-craziest in the lower 48, though...
