Put a fork in it, Hillary. You're done.
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 10:13 PM by zulchzulu

Listening to Hillary Clinton right now in Ohio not even acknowledging his victory in Wisconsin, I hear her audience that is silent and almost on cue cheering for her in her tired charade. She played dirty politics in Wisconsin (like the other states) and it's just karmic seeing the Clinton campaign deflating right before your eyes. The audience was robotic. It sounded like a Ron Paul crowd.

Switching over to Obama's speech, there is electricity. There is enthusiasm. There is momentum like no other campaign I've ever seen.

Voting for Obama today in Madison, the lines were long. People were smiling. People were relaxed. There was a feeling in the air that hope is actually on the way, even though it was five degrees below zero.

Here we come, Texas. Here we come, Ohio. Hello, Pennsylvania. You are Barack country now.

No matter how hard Hillary Clinton lies about Obama and goes negative, it's not going to work. I welcome those Clinton supporters to finally see the light that we don't need the Clintons again. We need to turn the page.

The pedal is to the metal. GOBAMA!

11. I know - I'm not sure how much of Hillary's audience is aware of the
WI results (which aren't final yet, anyway) -- but they certainly made mention of it in TX. I think that's what the delay was in Obama taking the stage -- waiting for the call.

It's like watching a boxing match that should have ended a round ago.

I am not gloating. I am simply pointing out the obvious.

I am sick and tired of the Clintons lying about Obama and thinking that it's going to stick. It isn't.

Hillary Clinton doesn't even have the common decency of congratulating Barack Obama on his victory. All she wants to do is try to tear him down with lies...she did so in her speech in Ohio.

I would think than any decent person would see through her act. It's is a pitiful act that teaches people to play like a poor sport and to be deceptive.

I want a leader...not a coward.

52. your point is excellent
It is not that I hate Hillary, quite the opposite. I respect her bravado and willingness to fight. It is time for the Clinton machine to realize though, that they are the Delorean of the modern age. it is Barack's turn. Bill had his 8 years. Itis time to turn the page and embrace the fact that Barack Obama is the future of the Democratic party. Tonight was the last throes of the past.

30. I'm sorry the Coronation isn't going as planned
The months of gloating that Hillary was basically going to wrap it all up on February 5th and posting poll after poll saying that Obama was never going to make it have finally come to what I would respond back with.

The voters want change. They want to go forward, not backward. They want a new solution, not a tired retread.

If you don't get it, that's just too bad.

27. It is the Clintons that want to destroy the Democratic Party
They are losing. 10 races in a row. Is that Obama's fault?

With their possible attempts to try to steal the election with super delegates as well as trying to stop people from voting in past races, the Clinton machine is the one that is trying to destroy the Democratic Party.

I stand tall knowing that I have done what I could to help deliver Obama a victory in Wisconsin. It couldn't be any other way in my view.

Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 12:01 AM by zulchzulu
Why are you being a dick about not owning up to the fact that Hillary is a liar and can't win a clean fight? How can you stick up for such a divisive charlatan?

I've seen campaigns that are running off the rails and rolling into the ditch. The Clinton campaign is exactly in that condition. Hillary proved again to me tonight in her speech in Ohio that she couldn't have the common decency to congratulate Obama on his victory. She is a coward in my view. A lying one at that.

If you can't face the fact that she is a dirty campaigner hellbent more on her personal ambition than really wanting to help America, then too damn bad, brother.

If being a dick is pointing out the obvious, then that's a pretty skewed way to view the World.

I full expect Hillary and Bill to sink deeper into low politics as they see the train about to wreck and they want to divide the Democratic Party if they can't get their way. My job is to push them over the cliff at this point to save our Party. The Republicans want to run against her SO BAD...well, they aren't getting that gift.

That's how I see it. You can call me anything you want.

I worked as a grassroots volunteer in 1992 for Bill Clinton and clocked in many hours trying to get out the message...even after I did some work for Jerry Brown. Watching what happened after that is another story.

I hope that I can respect Bill Clinton again one day. He is making it very difficult these days.

29. I get the feeling she's counting on Texas and maybe Ohio
to serve up a New Hampshire special, i.e. major funny business, and meanwhile just going through the motions to make it seem like she's got a live campaign while she awaits her miraculous comeback.

Of course, she always HAS just been going through the motions, so it's hard to be sure, but she seems to think she's still got a chance, and the last nine races pretty clearly suggest otherwise.
