That Obama supporter on MSNBC could have turned it around on Tweety
Not the brightest or best surrogate for Obama. But if he didn't know any specific legislative victory he could have easily have said, "I'm not sure what his legislative resume is. But I do know this that on the greatest issue of our time--authorizing the war in Iraq, Hillary Clinton voted the wrong way and Barack Obama was opposed to the war from the beginning. That calls her judgement into question."

4. He was completely caught off guard; Tweety attacked swiftly and with little mercy.

I was honestly shocked by his demanding tone - kinda like a schoolyard bully. The poor guy stammered and didn't have a chance.

9. precisely..she talked about what Clinton has worked on...
well, we all know her resume by now. I wish Tweety would have asked Ms. Tubb Jones what leglislation Hillary has been able to get through Congress. I'm damned if know, I do know that she has cast some pretty lousy votes in the Senate. If I remember correctly, Tweety never asked her about leglisative successes.

11. my thoughts exactly
why didn't Tweety call Tubbs Jones on the carpet and ask for specifics about HRC's 35 years! She was all spin and he allowed her to get away with it.

10. Kirk Watson is a very bright guy
Tweety was an ass. Kirk is a top trial lawyer and should have taken Tweety apart.

12. it's okay. Maybe Tweety's rudeness
and Tubbs Jones vacuous smugness will inspire kirk to help GOTV even more. That's a better way to show 'em all!

15. I think it just threw him off
I wasn't expecting Matthews to go on attack mode like that and allow Tubbs Jones to join in.

13. He could have pointed out the NO DEMOCRAT has been able to pass significant legislation
in the grid-locked Congress. Both Clinton and Obama have sponsored or co-sponsored numerous bills and most get read twice and banished to committee.

Bet Tubbs couldn't name any significant legislative accomplishment of Clinton's either.

The Republicans have filibustered and Bush has vetoed.

He could have pointed that out and turned the question around by asking Chris to name any Democrat who has passed signficant legislation (Patrick Leahy excepted).
