Why Hillary should run for Senate Majority Leader?
Because the President of the United States must have the Majority Leader on his side to get his judges nominated and to get his agenda passed. She would hold a lot of power as Majority Leader and Obama would have to respect her power. Since Harry Reid has not been a very effective Senate Leader, I think Hillary could win that historic post if she decides that she cannot win the Presidency. So Obama should be very careful and not make too many enemies within the Hillary camp. He may need them tomorrow...

2. How many terms do most Senate majority leaders have under their belt?
Wondering how her 1.5 terms would compare to the typical majority leader? (not saying longer is necessarily better, just curious)

4. Key word there: LEADER
Hillary just doesn't have it. Dodd, Biden, Feingold and many more have put in the work to merit consideration for that position. Hillary hasn't.

6. Does one RUN for that position?
Are they chosen for a "term" -- and if so, how long is that term?

And, again if so, most important - when is Reid's term up?

10. Naw. Hillary for SCOTUS.
I hate her in the Senate Majority Leader position, target on her back.

I'd like to see her on the Supreme Court, honestly. She's young enough that her influence could last for decades.

14. Oh my god!
I can even see her in my mind's eye. That ought to be seriously considered should she not get this nom. And it would be one heck of a victory everyone could get behind.

A lifetime appointment. One that even her father would have had to applaud without hesitation.

15. That is a great idea!
She is smart enough and tough enough to make a great Supreme Court Justice! :applause: Even better - can you imagine seeing Mitch McConnell's head explode when she is appointed? :nuke:

17. I would really like to see her there
I don't like what happens to her in political races. Her intelligence, hard work, analytical thinking, etc. would make her a gem on the Supreme Court and she's young enough she could hold a seat for decades.

13. I'd love to see her as Senate Majority Leader
It would be a histoic appointment - FIRST WOMAN LEADER of the Senate.

She works well with Republicans. She could make a terrific contribution to our nation by helping to move legislation for a new progressive agenda.

Harry Reid was a good Minority Leader but hasn't been too efective a Majority Leader. It's time for him to resign that post.
