Flipping & Floppin' Old Man McCain Should Keep His Mouth Shut
As I watched the parade of glittering mummies, 41, Babs and torture is now ok because I've sold my soul to the company store McCain, shuffle to the stage, I couldn't help but think that their time has passed. McCain is as irrelevant a candidate as Dole ever was and for him to criticize any dem is the height of hypocrisy. Better he should spend his time hugging his pal 43 because that's all the hugging he's going to get during this election. Go dems!

2. If McCain is a worse candidate than Dole (and I think he is) and...

Obama is as exciting a candidate in the GE as he has been so far, this could be a huge landslide.

3. It Should Be
But we'd better not take our eyes off the voting machines and the SC, cause that's the only way the crusty old codger can win. And while I don't think age is necessarily a factor, there seems to be a lack of dynamism and/or energy with McCain which contributes to making him look worn out.

4. Yup.
"And while I don't think age is necessarily a factor, there seems to be a lack of dynamism and/or energy with McCain which contributes to making him look worn out."

I think there is definitely a lack of dynamism and energy, and I think it's not age. It's his makeup... that is, he is not nearly as gifted a politician as Obama, or Bill Clinton, or Reagan or even (gasp) the Chimp. McCain has bad political instincts and he has to constantly think about what to do and say, while Obama just instinctively does the correct thing almost all the time. And all that thinking saps McCain's energy, and he simply lacks dynamism.

The more I compare McCain and Dole, the more convinced I am that McCain is a much weaker candidate.

7. McCain has reduced
himself as a human being, in order to meet the qualifications needed for the republican nomination.

9. Funny
"glittering mummies" maybe the funniest line of this season, because sadly that's what they looked like. Old, tired and bedecked. I don't criticize "old" because I am getting there too quickly myself, but I do criticize "old" in thought and thinking because it isn't necessary. McCain has hung onto the Bushes no matter how insulting they have been to him or his family. He has hung on to this war when the world has long since gone on. This war is not only illegal but out of touch with the rest of humanity. We want to move ahead and the McCain's and this administration seem stuck in a massive rut of 40 years old.

Good post and right on target.
