Repubs ain't exactly rallying around Johnny, are they? |
|
55 percent and 49 percent. That's his total percentage in a two-man race as the presumptive nominee against a regional (at best) candidate.
He should be getting 65 percent in his sleep right now.
The more I watch him, the more I think McCain is going to lose 40 states to whoever we run. It could be Mark Penn. Republicans are going to end up staying home in droves.

1. His speeches are amusing. |
|
While Obama's in big arenas with tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans, it's pretty apparent that McCain's in a little hotel ballroom surrounded by a few dozen, maybe a couple hundred, with the cameras zoomed in close to make a fake impression that he's got a big crowd around him, complete with the frat boys yelling "USA! USA! USA!"

3. They will. Oh they will. |
|
He will be paired with someone really bad that the cretins can identify with. AND they will be hoping that McCain kicks the bucket so that they can have "their guy" in there.

4. What's even more startling is the vote totals |
|
at primaries and caucuses. Wisconsin democrats outvoted Republicans by at least a 2-1 margin tonight.
We're fired up, Republicans are not, and I don't see a "fire in the belly" for McCain like I did for Bush in 2000 and 2004.

7. The Evangelicals are the "Fire" in the Republican party |
|
They are the ground troops. And they despise McCain.
McCain's base is retired military people who are, well, old and the country club Republicans who were content to lose elections for 40 years after Roosevelt.
He is in a real fix. I honestly don't know how he "rallies the base" with Limbaugh attacking him from one side and Dobson calling him Satan's minion from the other.

If you put them into a single race then the repbulicans combined would have placed a poor third
Obama 622,000 44%
Clinton 435,000 31%
McCain 213,000 15%
Huckabee 144,000 10%
Total 1,414,000 with 58% voting

10. Wow, my numbers were from |
|
early in the evening. I had no idea they had expanded to that margin.
The Republicans have to be petrified when they see those vote totals.
