Does anyone know if more people overall are participating? Thank you for any knowledge in this matter. It always bothers me when such a minority of people participate, even in the general election. That said, I am really looking forward to seeing what GOTV manages to do this upcoming general election.

5. Florida has a closed primary.
Only Democrats are allowed to vote in the Democratic primary.

6. Thanks, I've seen that also. Many more dems than repubs. Can't blame them.
A couple repubs I know are feeling really stuck regarding any candidate.

8. Seems it is that Dems have candidates they feel strongly about, where repubs don't.

9. Its more that this is a very contested primary. Most are over by now so people don't really care
to vote unless diehards. I wouldn't put much water in the big turnout for us vs rethugs at this time because McCain has locked it up and rethugs will stay at home whether they like him or not.

10. In our Washington the state County caucuses we had 150% greater turnout than last time.
Our county Democratic volunteers did a great job of handling the high turnout.
