Clinton Comes to Parma (OH)
She visited Grace's Diner for a breakfast meeting and talked about health care reform and universal care and jobs. Parma is the buckle of the Dem Party belt in NE Ohio. Obama isn't getting any traction here.

"Campaign staffers called Mayor Dean DePiero on Monday morning, seeking his suggestions on locations that would serve Clinton's "breakfast table" theme. DePiero gave them 10 possibilities, and recommended the Parma Senior Center or the Veterans Hall. They visited several restaurants, including Antonio's and the Parma Tavern.

After nearly three hours of haggling, the campaign workers settled on Grace's Grill on West Pleasant Valley Road. "They liked it because it is a mom-and-pop diner," DePiero said.

Owner Grace Thomas has the heart-tugging story candidates can't resist. For years, Thomas worked as a waitress at the restaurant. Then the owner walked out one day. "If you want it, you got it," he told her. So she got a low-interest loan from the city, hired her 78-year-old mother, Edith Gallow, as a cook and put the rest of the family to work. "

Great video, too....

3. Ohio is now do or die for Hillary
and there is NO guarantee now that she'll win it- despite your many absolutist statements that she'll win it big.

6. Ohio is do or die for Obama
Clinton is 14 points ahead in Ohio and Obama isn't making any gains there. Its a must win state for any presidential candiate both in the primary and the GE.

8. wrong. that's just absurd.
All he needs to do is keep it close, and newer polls absolutely show he's made and continues to make gains there. He has two weeks to campaign, and in EVERY state he's campaigned in he has narrowed the gap. And that was before this streak of ten BLOW OUT wins. That's right; blowouts. He won in Wisconsin by 17 pts and he won dems. All Obama has to do is win in TX and VT and RI and keep it close in OH, and you'll be waving bye bye to Hillary. It's almost over.

7. Ohio has a Dem governor and SOS now
Ken Blackwell and Bob Taft are long gone.

I'd think twice about blaming Dems if Obama doesn't win here. Obama will hurt himself even more if he or his supporters beat up on a popular Dem governor who is well aware of Ohio's past voting problems under GOP rule and who has gone out of his way to fix them.

10. I think HRC will actually win in Ohio by about 5%, but you can't deny
that Ohioians have been on the wrong side of the ledger for the better part of a decade. What a clusterfuck of a state, and it's no wonder that it's one of the few states in the US that is actually DECLINING in population every year.

12. I've been visiting here in Ohio for the past few months...
caring for a sick relative and since I've gotten to know a few people here I've been saying the same thing.
Ohio is twisted, backwards and fucked up and WILL find a way to fuck things up.

Cant wait to return to Vermont.

11. I live literally right across the border from ohio
in WV, and both states right now could go either way. Most people are still very much undecided. It will be interesting to see how Ohio plays out, but I will predict there will be no landslides either way.. it will be tight.
