I Hope Clinton Continues to Roll Out the Character Destruction Hate Machine
Really, and honestly, I do. She is actually doing the Obama camp a favor: she's prepping them for the RW hate-machine, which I have now doubt, will be much, much worse. But the more negative Clinton goes, the more difficult it will be for the RW hate-machine to continue doing so. In fact, the more ridiculous Clinton looks doing it, the more difficult it will be to use the same attacks by the McCain campaign.

I think Obama has shown well against the negative attacks. He's keeping it cool and if he can continue to weather the b.s. well, his teflon suit will be proven.

3. I agree.
She ought to bring up everything she can now so it'll be old news against Obama in the general.

Frankly, I think she ought to focus on more substantive critiques, like his lack of foreign policy experience, because that's what the R's will throw at him.

14. No, dear, you are not THAT important in my life. Although, I have to say your other
happy proclamation had a bigger impact on me:

(as an admission of something I already observed myself)

5. Yep, McCains wife already attacked Michelle's comment about "first time she was proud to be an Amer"
"ican"

This is just the beginning.

Not only will the bickering (this is bickering compared to what the RW hate machine will serve up) help prepare him for the fall, but the extended length competition with Hillary has energized Democrats who's votes don't normally matter in the primaries. It's all good.

6. I can't even fathom an Obama vs McCain run to the Presidency....
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 10:45 AM by LakeSamish706
Knowing what we know about McCain, I don't give him a snow balls chance in hell of beating Obama in November unless the election is somehow rigged again. He is old, Obama is young, McCain stands for more of the same old GW Bush and Obama represents change... What American in there right mind would vote for McCain over Obama in the GE? You might see that Bush 30% faithful in McCain's corner, but I wouldn't expect much more than that.

20. What's so silly about their hypocrisy?
Your name calling is silly. After spending years decrying the politics of personal destruction that is exactly what the Clintons are doing to Obama. I don't find that kind of hypocrisy silly. Its disgusting.

11. this week's mood: ANGRY
she's coming out swinging with "sharper" attacks on obama, questioning his ability to lead and be the commander in chief

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/20/clinton-sharpens-her-attack-on-obama/

the gloves are indeed off for good and we will be treated to witness a schoolyard brawl. the campaign is going to go negative in a big way, and i believe that we are going to hear whispers of past drug use and whatever else thrown at obama.

12. The "flip flop" meme that was used against Kerry came from Gephart in the primary.
Be careful what you wish for. The GOP is not that creative on their own. Why do we want to give them ammo against our candidates?

They're already using the bullshit "present votes" thing against Obama now.

They'll be making hay out of the "plagiarism" deal well into the general election season.

Thanks a bunch, Hillary. :(

18. I think it is also PROVING to the skeptical that TeamClinton WAS capable of undermining
other Democrats to serve their own goal the last 8 years.

Those who didn't think Clintons intentionally backstabbed our past two nominees have been opening their eyes lately:

And putting it all together:

And understanding the level of sabotage they would sink to protect BushInc past 2004 election:
