Hillary says it takes a lot of work
Junior says the same thing and we know how that all turned out.

2. You can see what she infers by that
by playing to the racist elements in society. WASPS are hard workers while minorities are shiftless and lazy.

Obama made it to where he is on his own merits. To suggest that she is a harder worker is disingenuous at best.

3. I think that is a bit of a stretch.
I think she was saying that it takes more than oratory skills and hope to get things done.

4. Not at all. I think it was a calculated ploy
to twang the subconcious racism undercurrents in white society.

5. I don't doubt racism is at issue in people's minds and some will vote against O based on race..
Just like I know that a good part of the animosity against HC is sexist. I heard on NPR this morning that Rs can't articulate why they hate HC, but that she is somehow "grating" on their nerves. It is because she is a strong woman who tells men what to do. Add her desire for strict gun control and she becomes symbolically emasculating.

10. Unfortunately for Hillary...
The country knows that it will take the work of country...not a "busy" president.

Obama taps into that. He demands that the country work to get things done.

15. If you read that into her remark, maybe that says more about you
than it does about her.

16. I grew up in a very racist family
I've heard all the code words many times.

It takes constant effort and a lot of determination to fight it.

Unfortunate choice of words. I know she was just playing up her experience, but it rankles a bit, as did Dole/*/McCain's "my turn" entitlement.

Diligence in the service of corporations, and against our interests, is not a virtue. Clinton and Obama both need to take us voters seriously for a change.

14. What does she know about work?
Her first book almost completely written by someone else. Barack's written two books himself.
Middling student in university. Barack in the top 1%.
Failed her bar exams. Barack passed on the first try.
Her campaign has been inconsistent and is floundering despite huge name recognition and a former President active on the campaign trail. Barack's campaign, well, need I say more?
Etc., etc.

:dem:

17. Yes it takes hard work, and in this campaign she didn't do any
she picked cronies to run her campaign instead of picking people who were qualified

she didn't bother to contest caucus states because that actually takes work, no forces on the ground (then calls them unfair when she had the same chance at them as anyone else)

didn't bother keeping track of her money, pissed it all away by 2/5

didn't plan for any contests past 2/5 and has lost all of them so far

didn't figure out a concise message and has switched constantly since losing Iowa

lost Iowa and had to have her husband do all the heavy lifting on the campaign trail so she still had a chance

it takes hard work, not soap opera watching loyalist incompetence
