Will the Republiclowns who are so incnsed that Home Fries is their nominee that they fail
to vote at all in the general election be a factor in November? ("Home Fries" is my name for McCain.) Are people here jumping for joy that Home Fries and not a more clinically conservative candidate has been chosen on their side of the fence?

Finally, how blisteringly, insanely reactionary will Home Fries become in the next weeks and months, particularly if Obama gets the nod from Democrats?

4. McCain is a brand of frozen potato products in Nova Scotia, Canada.
They're highly processed, shapless, doughy, pale and rather bland. I remember trying them when I was there - it's all the locals eat - and now that's what I think of when I think of McCain.

6. The fundies
are in collapse because their own leaders have failed them (queue Oral Roberts and others) and the party has marginalized them and their Huckster candidate. They WILL sit it out. The mouthy talking nutjobs on some of those blogs aren't representing the brick and mortar pubbies and all their special interest groups - and there are many as they were never monolithic although they managed to try to be so up until 2006. The public, including many of their own traditionalists, are sick of the gutter, mud-slinging politics.

5. Republicans are organized and will unite behind the candidate, no matter who it is.
Think of Republicans as an orginzation's pyramid, highly structured.

Democrats, on the other hand, are more like a novella with sub-plots based on romance and adventure.
