I took this from a fundraising plea I received by email from the Clinton campaign |
|
"Let this remarkable two-person contest for the Democratic nomination be determined by the strength of our ideas, the quality of our leadership, or the depth of our experience. But whatever you do, don't let the outcome of these crucial March 4 contests be decided by a lopsided spending advantage for the Obama campaign." (their emphasis)
++++++++++++
Can somebody tell me, again, how much MORE money Clinton spent in Iowa? (more than any of the other candidates)x(

14. one of the troubles was |
|
that she raised money from big-money donors. Due to fundraising laws, there is a limit of $2300 per person. Many of Hillary's donors gave $4600 - $2300 for the primaries and $2300 for the general election. So she has ten million dollars or more that she cannot legally spend. The primary was supposed to be a slam dunk.

|
Will she help Obama or other Dems down the ticket? Can she? Or will she just return it to her supporters for next time?

4. The lopsided spending advantage didn't bother her when she had all the money |
|

:eyes:
On edit: She raised $118 million last year and was waaay ahead in the polls. Something went wrong and that's not the fault of her donors or supporters.

It will starve the Clinton beast (campaign). You'd have to be a moron to donate to her now.

And Obama may be able to dominate VT and RI for the same reason. It might be a mini-super tuesday all over again.
And BTW, Obama is already campaign in Wyoming.

Even Wyoming.
Or maybe it's not irony. When Obama gets people to do stuff for free that Hill has to pay for, you can go a LOT further.

28. What's important is that he'll have the operation and the people ready |
|
for the General election. These folks will already know the plan and the people in every state. Imagine that along with the DNC ground operation! Not only will Obama do well, the candidates down-ticket will also be successful. THIS is what the 50-state strategy is all about!

Of course, Obama had staff in Wisconsin for HOW LONG before Clinton got there? AND had the $$ to spend in Wisconsin because his campaign budgeted for the long term and PLANNED AHEAD.
