Bush 19% so what are Republican voters hoping for? |
Surely Republicans don't think McCain is somehow going to save them. McCain is an extension of Bush. If Bush is so low in popularity and the mood is against the war then what are Repub voters thinking of? When you look at the Repub primary votes there are still many thousands there. How is the Democratic Party going to get the message through to the Republican voters - 8 more years of mess and destruction with McCain. He's too old, doesn't understand the economy, tends to be bad temepered and rash.

4. The hard reactionary 20% that still support Bush can't be convinced at all. |
The next 20% are conservative and likely aren't worth trying in terms of convincing. They may think Bush is bad but not terribly so. They likely think Obama or Clinton will be even worse and probably think McCain is too liberal.
