Poll question: So, who was really the source of the McCain sex scandal, dirty lobbyist leak? |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 08:23 PM by sniffa
Not to influence any votes...... so I won't.
Edit: Jeez, I meant to butcher Rudy's name, but not that bad. :P

21. I'm not sure I understand the logic of breaking it now. |
|
If Karl and co doesn't want him as the nominee they could have broken it weeks ago. This just gives the Democrats a better chance. Why would Karl want that?

I had posted about a passage in Arthur Schlesinger Jr's recently published journals, about McCain's problems with affairs. Arthur said that these would sink any presidential hopes that McCain had.
I think these issues were well-known in DC.

10. Huckabee is the only one (Ron Paul) out of top 3 that stayed in for some reason. |

He'd be my first suspect, then ruling him out... but should I?

I don't think he has a shot what soever (even with this scandal), and I also don't think he has the inroads to get this info first, and the contacts to get it out there. My first 4 possibilities are the options aside from other. After mulling over these options I decided that 9/11 is the behind it; I came to the conclusion that it came from one of the dropped out candidates, or maybe some future candidate, and after narrowing it down to Mitt and Rudy (and just to make a note of it - I initially belted out Romney as Bi-Baby and I were watching this), I decided that the Ghoul is the one most likely to have the inroads for this.

...the sex details are obscuring the fact that John "Straight Talk Express" McCain was doing legislative favors for a lobbyist.

26. Not Flynt, he'd wait for the general to bury McCain... |
|
Rush and his merry band of fuckwits is a good call. Coulter and the rest might be responsible as well. They HATE McCain with the heat of a thousand suns. I wonder if this is the much discussed "candidate sex scandal" that the LA Times was sitting on a few months back? It was bound to get some traction sooner or later.
God, that poor Stepford Wife of his must be ready to kick his ancient, Viagra popping ass. I don't think he can weather this, not after what the Republicans did to Bill Clinton.
So - Huckabee can't make it, they're back to Romney. In some ways he's a stronger candidate than McCain but his endorsement and the release of his delegates is a problem.
Since we continue to destroy the Democratic Party from within this season, I suppose it's just as well that the Republicans are in a clusterfuck. Still, it's a pity they didn't wait for the old goat to get the nomination.

33. Former McCain staffer was the primary source. |
|
That staffer has been well-compensated by Bush/Cheney top confidante, and will have steady party work forever now.
Secondary, confirming source was a driver.
A few other staffers got cornered into partial confirmations, before clamming up.
