Chuck Todd: Can Obama be Stopped?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23258192/

It's looking like the math just isn't there for Hillary. She can go "scorched-earth" and ruin Obama's chances in November, but she really doesn't have a realistic mathematical chance to overtake Obama in delegates.

She would have to win 58% of the remaining delegates to pull even with Obama. With only 6 of the remaining 15 states being favorable to her, it just doesn't look like it could happen.

1. Rules? What Rules?
Edited on Wed Feb-20-08 10:35 PM by MannyGoldstein
The Clintons have already dismissed the concept that delegates are actually pledged to a candidate - craziest thing I ever heard, but there it is. They're going after Obama's pledged delegates, and the superdelegates.

2. He pretty much said Hillary should drop out NOW and I agree. Her only chance of winning is taking
down the party with her.

4. We know she is gonna try to play "Gotcha" with the 2 debates, then we have TX&OH, THEN she should
quit

It will be the right time. (unless she wins 60% of delegates in both and she can't possibly do that)

5. I found this interesting....
My guess is he'll pick up a net of 20 superdelegates before March 4. That's based on more than a hunch but I'll leave it at that.

When he ws on the air earlier he said according to the Obama camp they should have 20 more super delegates before Ohio and Texas. I wonder if the Obama camp gave him a list of expected endorsements.

Interesting........
