Obama outspent Hillary 4 to 1 in ads in Wisconsin? |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 12:52 AM by candice
I am a Hillary supporter who would be an Obama supporter if he had shown the gumption to stick to something, although I moved to the American South as an outsider and watched evangelicals at tent meetings bringing in the flock and am thusly immune to cults in any form. I don't find Obama's speechifying very inspiring. the "Yes we can" chant seems like lame high school cheer leading to me.
Seems Obama was running for state leg while working at his first law firm, then when in the Illinois leg, running first for U.S. Congress (failed) and then Senator. After a year of being bored as a Senator, he started running for President.
Isn't the Presidency of the U.S. supposed to be the most demanding job in the world? What kind of person thinks one year in the Senate prepares them for this job?
Obama claims he has similar experience to JFK, Jr. (who had 14 years total in Congress and chaired important committees that he called, while Obama hasn't called one meeting of his committee according to what I've read).
Lincoln, another person Obama claims, which is to be expected of any person representing Illinois, had more than 30 years of relevant experience.

Both hillary and obama are one termers. He was a state and she wasnt. They have both been activists with obama doing much more pro-bono activist work(in my view).
I don't really think being married to one of the best presidents of our time gives her any experience being in charge. Im a manager and i can say first hand that watching from the sidelines doesn't give you much help.

It imply thoughtlessness on the part of his constituents. The main two issues that draw me to Obama are the war and his pledge to not take any lobbyist money.

First she confused Ohio for Wisconsin in the OP title and then elected Obama to the Ohio senate somehow.
Besides, I've seen several of your posts and you have more nerve than a toothache slamming someone else for "graciousness".

12. Hillary could use the "Al-Qaida Is Watching" threat again |
|
Since Hillary would need a land slide in Texas AND Ohio to make a come back, she should try her "Al-Qaida Is Watching" threat to voters again. http://rawstory.com/news/afp/Al_Qaeda_watching_US_election_Clint_01072008.htmlShe did this before the New Hampshire election, oh and she also cried in public. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/india_knight/article3177698.eceBetter use both of those tactics, just to be sure.

can only help improve democracy. The new voters will take notice if corrupt politians are rising to power and put a stop to it. The increased voters alone, are good for America, they will have to acknowledge them. If we discourage new voters out of it we are back to square one.

It is a war memo on its face. Try reading it.
It declares Iraq a threat to the US and then authorizes bush to deal with the threat with absolutlely no pre-requisites.
It is the equivalent of
The Sky is Blue
If the Sky is Blue Jimmy will go outside.
Jimmy went outside.
Now some dishonest candidates react as if they didn't tell Jimmy to go outside.
And because of that, these candidates will not win.

28. Better bone up on your Lincoln history |
|
Lincoln served 8 years as a rep in Illinois and 2 years -- that's TWO YEARS -- in D.C. as a rep from Illinois. Total 10 years political experience. He hadn't been in political office for 10 years when he decided to run for president.
Then there's our two candidates:
Obama's served 8 years in the Illinois senate and will have served 4 years in the United States Senate by the end of this year. Let's say 11+ years as an elected politician.
Hillary will have served 8 years in the United States Senate by the end of this year. So let's say for her 7+ years.
I am so amused by her "I've got the experience" claim. Try putting your spouse's creds on your resume sometime and see how far that gets you.
