except of the republicans. i'd seen enough of the republicans back in the 1970's. but the democrats, this year - i still haven't decided which one to vote for. i'll be watching closely.

3. It's gonna get dirty

My guess is that Hillary will try to blast Obama with false claims and have him on the defensive as much as possible. Then she will try to boast her experience and toughness and pretend how her policies will be better for Americans than Obama and blah blah blah.

I think Hillary will come across as antagonistic while Obama will be prudent.

4. My first post...Am I welcome here as an Independent?

I apparently do not have the authority to start my own thread, so I'll just ask on my first reply. The forum rules stated that "democrats and other progressives" are welcome. I can't say that I'm whole-heartedly either, and I frankly detest our BIpartisan system. I have no legitimate party of my own, so can I play with y'all since I voted for your candidates?

Now I'll stop hijacking and digress to a real reply...



I think everybody has seen enough, but they are thirsty for more. This era and phenomenon of reality TV induced sheeple is what has made the success or Rovian tactics possible. It works!! This must be the most highly rated "reality TV" I've ever seen.

I would bet my pathetic bank balance to say that the debate tomorrow will have one of the highest ratings of any democratic debate, ever. I would also dare to say that the MSM is getting better ratings than they have since the Iraq war was "cool," and the ~15% who disapproved knew to keep their negative unpatriotic mouths shut (sarcasm alert!).

I'll shut up now. This post is way to long for a newbie that may get nuked anyhow.
