Thanks to Michelle, Obama's Campaign Got Bitten in the Ass - And I'm Gloating |
|
My first post in this forum, in this cycle, could be summed as: "WTF is Obama thinking, to pander to Republicans?"
That was my #1 complaint. #2 was, of course, the sexism in the attacks against Hillary.
Those Reagan Republicans Barack has been sucking up to during this primary season aren't too thrilled with Michelle right now, are they?
And did I see a THREAD IN BIG BOLD HEADLINES screaming about sexist media attacks, now?
If the 2-inch heels fit, try walking in them.

Regular DUers have taken enough shit from active campaigning ops (of all candidates) than any voter should have to, but for those who've seen the place become infested with arrogant, insulting Obamites, this is especially sweet.

about Hilly's horrible campaign and string of defeats and money problems, not to mention her sinking poll numbers. I understand you're down about it, and need a pacifier to suck on. But you're wrong about this being anything but a slight nick in the Obama campaign. Still, if I were supporting Hilly, I'd be looking for solace anywhere I could find it. Enjoy this fleeting moment of gloating.

Those attacking Michelle Obama are the die-hard militant Repubicans, not those who would cross-over and vote for Obama.
The Republicans Obama is attracting are folks like my parents and a couple of people I work with who are sick of the Republican Party and see Obama as the alternative. There are many, many people out there just like them.
Yeah, you're patting yourself on the back, but you're wrong.

So, Michelle gave ammo to the Repubs.
It's our job to figure out how to deflect that ammo.
Why? Because we don't want McCain (think Supreme Court, Justice Department, Labor Department, tax laws written of, by and for the super rich) in the White House.

Michelle Obama will not wish to be "in the mix" and bullying his inner circle people. She does NOT want to be "part of the policy process." That will do a lot to insulate her from mean-spirited republicans and *some* democrats.

There hasn't been any sexism in the "attacks" on Hillary, and there hasn't been any in the "attacks" on Michelle. The fact that they are women does not make them immune to criticism. The "attacks" have been about issues; something you might want to consider focussing on yourself.

67. Crisco, now that was damn good. The problem with Michelle is |
|
she too like barack enjoys playing the race card and even the damn whoremedia cannot tell when it is played. One of the very first times was in November when she gave the interview to msnbc and there she played the race card, and it was so obvious the interview which should have gotten a lot of milage for the obama campaign had a one day life, because it was basically, "blacks need to vote for barack because he is black."
Then you have this story of a 44 or 45 year old black woman that has not be proud of her country until now. Well, I could give her the benefit of the doubt if this was the one and only time she had said that, but she said that in two different speeches. Something you do not see in the whoremedia telling you all that....Once maybe you let slide but twice and spoken in the same manner, NO....but I do have a feeling what Michelle and Obama are up too....It is called code words for the black community of 2008.
Here is what she said: "What we have learned over this year is that (1.)""hope is making a comeback"". It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something -- for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And (2)"""not just""" because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud."
1."" hope is making a comeback is code for Barack is winning 2."""not just, She mistakenly spoke the truth by saying "not just" because Barack is winning. This message is code to blacks to say, if they don't nominate Barack, its' the same old Democratic Party taking blacks for granted. The message to whites is that "for the first time", I don't think you're a racist nation. It's clear this is contigent on Barack winning. For those out there who doubt that this is racial code, give an alternative explanation. I know the racial games that are played each election cycle. This is shameful in 2008, that such a powerful group would emotionally blackmail voters and politicians into accepting someone so unqualified.
I want any Obama supporter to name a white person who has a chance to do what Obama's has done. Go throughout history, use a current example, whatever. Find someone who has a similar story and has the chance to become president.
The closest example I can give is: John Edwards, but he never had a chance.

68. The Teamsters Union backing Obama |
|
because he is Afro-American? He did vote for the Peru Trade agreement contrary to their wishes. He's a globalist and they support him? Teamsters should not support any of the leading candidates since they have not been that great for workers or our economy.

72. I know a lot of DUers behaved badly lately. |
|
Hell, I was behaving badly myself. It's bound to happen in a closely contested race, and I'll admit I'm not very sportsmanlike.
But really, I think it's time for us on both sides to chill out by a few notches.
I'll at least do my own part in this.

88. Crisco is looking forward to Eight More Years of Demonization and Hillary-Bashing of a First Lady! |
|
Thus destroying Liberalism as an ideal by personifying it in the form of a straw-woman figure -- a "domineering, evil black woman" who probably isn't even a liberal firebrand so they can redefine liberalism in the process -- just like they did with Hillary. Only Hillary bought into it WILLINGLY instead of defending her privacy.
In other words, Crisco wants to drag down another First Lady as punishment for all the times her candidate got dragged down and demonized. Schadenfreude.
Why did wobbly's post about the defects of both candidates get alerted on - and not this one, which calls for attacks on the wife of the presumptive nominee?

I won't call you.
Obama's campaign has been making RW attacks on Democrats since the primaries got underway. This is little more than the enjoyment of poetic justice.
