Hillary = glass half full; Obama = glass half empty
It's hard to put into words but after reading Hillary's speech she delivered at Hunter College last night I think I've "found my voice."*

Hillary speaks about the best our country HAS been and WILL be, how we will improve on what we can do for each other. whereas Obama sees a country that is not working and needs to change. I don't want to change social security, I don't want to raise the FICA cap, I don't want to extend any more free trade. I want to improve on the great system we have that has been abused for 8 years.

<snip>

"You stand on the wall late at night defending our nation so the rest of us can sleep, you’re the nurses who tend to the sick, the caregivers who care and give. You’re the parents on the front lines of daily life, determined to achieve the American dream for your family. You’re the foundation, the families, the communities and the country we love. You truly are the miracle that makes America what it is.

Others might be joining a movement. I’m joining you on the night shift, on the day shift and I’m asking you to join me to shift America into high gear again. To ensure that we build a strong and prosperous middle class, that we do all in our poor into prosperity and opportunity, that we recognize that the divisions among us are nothing compared to the unity that America can have....

My campaign is about an America of shared opportunity, shared prosperity and shared responsibility. I do believe we are all in this together and we are going to demonstrate loudly and clearly that our country is worth fighting for; our country is worth standing up for. And this campaign goes on and this campaign moves forward. And this campaign, with your help, will take our country back."

* Hillary Clinton, New Hampshire speech.

4. She's been the negative one. And didn't she find her voice in NH? I guess that fell through.
Now she found it again? I guess after she loses one or both of Texas and Ohio, she'll magically "find my voice" again in order to continue an election that is all but over. She's clinging with her claws to a presidency she felt was hers.

17. Forgive me for seeing a little irony here.
You have reprimanded a poster for name-calling by calling said poster a name in return and using profanity to boot.

8. I've got to agree with Obama on this one.
Not as a "pessimist" rather than an "optimist," but that the country is NOT working, and hasn't worked for at least 30 years, since Reagan's time. Maybe Obama is mostly a figurehead, and if that's so, maybe that's just fine. Whatever it takes to change the identity of Americans from 'consumer' to 'citizen' is what we need. Somehow the idea of Senator Clinton in the White House is not enough of a major shift in tone, in my opinion.

12. Unlike some other Obama supporters...
I like Hillary and I think that speech was really moving. I believe that she "gets it", and if she ends up being the nominee I will not bitch and moan or worse, stay home in the GE. I will never get why the level of vitriol has been so high lately, what happened to the good old days when we were happy with ALL of our candidates?

*that being said, I think your original premise is flawed. At best they are BOTH glass half full!

likes. There's a real chestnut.

23. Speech
It is so embarrasing to listen to HRC try to come-off as "one of the people." She is the kind of people we need to "take our country back" from!
