I believe it would. I think many people think of Colin Powell as a great patriot and good man, despite his presentation in front of the UN. I am one of them.

That's what I think too. He did come out and say he was fooled by Bush and co and I believe his rep isn't that tarnished as people on this board would lead you to believe.

When you lie any credibility you may have had goes down the toilet. A good man does the right thing for the right reasons, Powell is not a good man, and a Patriot does not help in sending his country into a war that he knows is bogus. So, Powell is neither a good man nor a patriot, he's a liar and an enabler, and a possible war criminal!!!!!
Deal with it, I have.

14. I don't like it that Powell lied, but I'd much prefer him to BO at |
|
least he knows whats going on, and would have the knowledge for the job. I wonder if we could get Powell to run on either party? He's no smart aleck either.

He doesn't need it. In case anyone hasn't noticed he's been doing pretty well so far without the desperate endorsements. When the GE comes around he will have his battles, no doubt but one simply can't overlook the exceptionally low turnout of the republican party. Unless they get some sort of heavy inspiration for McCain, it's going to be a wash.
You can only do so well when such a small percentage of your party votes. McCain is speaking in half filled ball rooms while Obama is packing stadiums, not hard to see.

I wouldn't want to be associated with the man who knowingly used false intelligence to try and convince the UN to support this shitass war.
