McCain: "A victim of the liberal press."
Can't believe that I'm hearing this consistently all over the news this morning. The coverage of this is so different than the coverage of the Clinton/Lewinski thing.

Conservatives are joining ranks to defend their guy. Supposedly neutral anchors are expressing skepticism that the story is true.

And worst of all, no one is mentioning the fact that this anti-special-interest Senator is in bed, whether literally or figuratively, with a telecom lobbyist.

I never thought I'd see a sex scandal work to a candidate's advantage, but that's what I'm seeing today.

Unbelievable.

7. The memo must be out. I was watching The View today,
I know; don't laugh...

And the right wing parrot, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, was just APPALLED - APPALLED, I SAY- At The New York Times "liberal bias" against McCain. She said this is proof that the liberal media is out to smear a man of such integrity and values.

I loved the part when Barbara Walters schooled the neophyte regarding the Keating 5.

It was enjoyable.

12. well what do you expect from the nywhore times. This article
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 01:30 PM by BenDavid
is written in such a way the whoretimes wants the reader to reach the conclusion that mccain is guilty of this and that.....if there was any there, there to this the article itself would state it for you and conclude there is something there...

Let’s be frank: The New York Times op-ed page is an intellectual sewer. Yesterday,Maureen Dowd was at it again. She lodged this hiss-spitting claim against her favorite target: “Hillary says Obama is ‘all hat and no cattle.’” Here’s what Clinton actually said: She criticized Bush, the former Texas governor. "There's a great saying in Texas," she said, "all hat and no cattle. Well after seven years of George W. Bush, we need a lot less hat and a lot more cattle.”

Huh! She had criticized Bush—but Obama worked better. So the WhoreTimes let their crazy girl type it."

Gee, it's almost like the whore press is lying about the Clintons.uh huh

13. I'm even more inclined to think McCain's people are behind the timing now
While I've heard some Republican women feign outrage and disappointment over this locally. They're also some of the ones who didn't like him in the first place because he's a "liberal."

By the end of the weekend I bet these same women will be rallying behind the poor victimized man being abused by the "liberal media."

15. I certainly did not. And I agreed with RKM last night when he said...
that this would help McCain--when he was butchered for saying so.
