Since we keep hearing from Hillbots that any state h wins doesn't count for whatever reason. So can you give me someone exmaples of some states he's won that do count and do matter?

4. Let's go through them all.

Which states did he win that count? The states with sizeable population, a good cross-section of demographics that are representative of the nation at large, and which might actually vote for the Democrat in November.

So the states Obama won which count are: Wisconsin, Illinois (yes, it was his home state, but it certainly fulfills the criteria mentioned above,) Minnesota (although there was little more than 200,000 total vote there: it must have been one of those goddamm caucuses we have been infested with this year,) and Missouri (although it was a very narrow win.)

The states Hillary won that count are: California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida (your guy was on the ballot here: I'm fair, I'm not counting Michigan,) and possibly Tennessee (its chances of going blue in November are not high (higher than places like Idaho though) but it is a fully diverse state rural and urban, and not devoid of a working class.)

Which states did Obama win that don't count? Hawaii (home state caucus,) Virginia and Maryland (black voters and latte liberals in the suburbs of DC like Fairfax County,) DC, Louisiana (black vote,) Nebraska, Georgia (black vote again,) Colorado (may go blue, but a small state, with not much over 100,000 voters in - yep - another goddam caucus,) Connecticut (you can't get more well-heeled and latte liberal, except perhaps with Vermont or "Democrats Abroad,") Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, Idaho (all those states with more tumbleweeds than people, and the tumbleweeds all vote Republican,) Alaska (frozen tumbleweeds,) and Delaware.

Did I miss any? I may have, but I'm pretty confident I didn't miss any states that count.

And since it's an election among Democrats, why does it having a chance of voting for the nominee in November matter at all? Are you saying if you're a Democrat in a small minority in a state you should lose all say just because of the rest of your state?

It's a large enough and diverse enough state that I might put it in the "count" column for Obama. Except, wasn't it another one of these caucuses? Plus, Seattle -- please. That's the very fount and origin of latte liberalism! It's no accident, comrade, that Obama wins the home state of Starbucks.

that some of you HRC supporters discount because they have delegates and the main reason they count is that Hillary decided they didn't count and so Obama got huge percentages out of them and got the lionshare of delegates. He got more delegates out of Colorado (another state you discount even though polls show Obama could win the state, while Hillary would lose to McCain) than Hillary got out of New Jersey. And we have a better chance of picking up Colorado or even Kansas (where a new SUSA poll has Obama only five points behind McCain, while HRC is 25 points behind) than we do of winning Tennessee which you seem to feel counts more. What about NY? Survey USA shows Obama beating McCain in her own state by over 20-points while Clinton only manages a 11-point lead. Same with NJ. They all count and all those blue states you think are so important are going to go to Obama and the only thing is he may pick up some of those other states you think don't count.

meaning, especially, Democratic. But they are both states, despite pockets of latte liberal wealth, that are just so heavily populated and filled with (non-snazzy) urban areas that the Regular Democrats totally swamp any exceptionalist Obama vote.

Connecticut used to be country club Republican, now it's pretty much latte liberal, at least in the Democratic primaries.

Filled with a lot of unassuming neighborhoods in the many, many (non-snazzy) urban areas scattered around those states. There are legions and legions of Regular Democrats in those states that effectively overwhelm exceptionalist Obama voters in Beverly Hills or the Upper West Side. Even in Democratic primaries!
