Wow do they dislike each other or what?
I missed the first half of the debate. Is it my imagination or are they giving each other some major bad looks? I also haven't noticed them looking at each other. Hillary is sitting there smirking while he speaks and Barack is looking down and making notes while she speaks.

This is really disappointing. They need to at least pretend they like each other.

2. I think they are both a little pissed.
I think she is pissed after losing 11 primaries in a row. I think he is pissed by the attacks from her campaign. They are going to need to get over this and whoever doesn't get the nomination is going to have to get in line to help get the other one elected.

7. That was stupid of her, it was petty
Obama wasn't responsible for someone not doing his homework. The Clinton campaign tried to spin this as proof that Obama has accomplished nothing in his life. It makes her look like a 7th grader. She should be going to that level, she is better than that.

But Obama's been handling it ok.

11. frankly, I wish the candidates would copy each others good ideas
No point in sticking with an inferior position if the other candidate has a better idea. Maybe we should encourage this, rather than discourage it.

Or repeat something you read here on DU? I do it all the time. And no, I don't always say I heard someone else say it or I read it here.

Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 10:33 PM by Skittles
yes, I do disclose the source - if it's something on DU I say, "I read this on a political board.." - yes, absolutely.....I may be more sensitive to it because I write stuff for people at work.

38. Oh boy. So should he credit speech writers before every speech?
Of course he shouldn't. Same goes for Patrick. Like the speech writers he is an associate of the the campaign. No need to give a credit. Would have been nice, but not necessary.

5. Can you blame her?
Obama has been using passive aggressive shit on Hillary for months -- pointing out her "negatives" created by the right-wing hate machine.

This bullshit needs to get its due.

19. Politics is about carrying out ideals which have been around for a long time,
...not about originality.

That is what make the scandal about Obama using a paragraph previously spoken by Deval Patrick bogus.
