Well, the debate proved that the stereotypical views of both candidates are wrong.
Hillary exhibited that she has a charismatic side to her. Yes, the xerox crack was what it was, a blunder that the audience was a cheap shot. However the last thirty minutes of the debate she was able to pull people in, engage them and move them the way the classic charismatic leaders always have.

On the other hand Obama showed that he is has substantiative plans and policies in place, that he isn't all fluff. He scored on the Cuban, Iraq and Pakistani issues.

The rest of it I think was a push. Hillary isn't going to gain from this debate, Obama isn't going to lose anything. Therefore, it looks like Obama will keep charging, and Hillary is going to have fewer and fewer opportunities left.

But hey, it was nice to see the change up and prove these stereotypes aren't valid.

1. Clinton did herself a favor tonight by not attacking so much, and

being herself. At least, I think it was herself. Or? Who is she? Her whole persona changed in this debate, to her benefit. But has she given up?

3. I think that she's realizing that it is quickly getting beyond her grasp
The numbers just aren't there for her, and if she loses Texas and/or Ohio she's pretty much done. I think that this allowed her in a sense to open up a bit and thus make that connection, especially at the end. I've seen this happen in other primaries, the last one to drop realizes what's going to happen and thus is free to be themselves.

Also she got punished for that Xerox crack, and I think that reined her back in.

6. I think so, too. If that's the case, I've gained some respect back,
I think. I've never watched a campaign this closely in my life, and it's been real interesting.

8. More fun than watching football eh?
Hasn't been one this close for a long while. I really do hope that the super delegates go with the will of the voters if it comes down to that. Otherwise it would tear the party in two.

9. Well...
I'm a NY Giants fan, so nothin' was better than that! Twin sister and myself, and spouses, had a birthday vacation planned since early December...in MX. We are all Giants fans and our birthday is on February 3rd. Then, Mexico had elections, and no alcoholic drinks for 2 days, to end at 6pm Sunday.

It was pretty funny, and we got a beer at 5pm MX time.

A good time was had by all!

PS Excuse me, but I was off line for the damn Super Bowl where the Giants won!!!!!!!!!!11

10. Congrats on your Giants,
I'm a KC fan myself, so that was a disappointment this year. But the Missouri Tigers came through in fine fashion(even though they should have gone to the Orange Bowl).

5. Thanks, just calling what I see.
These two really aren't more than five degrees apart on most issues, so I pretty much figured it was going to be a push anyway unless there was just a major fubar. I was just happy to see the switch in stereotypes, Clinton being charismatic and Obama being wonkish.

7. Oh the candidate that I get get all excited about is long gone
Therefore in many ways it becomes a game to analyze. Sometimes a football game, sometimes a chess match, sometimes a Napoleonic battle. Frankly politics is America's favorite pastime, not baseball.
