Don't think for a second that the prevailing candidate will pick the other...
Although it would be cool, Obama will not ask Clinton to be the VP and Clinton will not ask Obama to be VP. Actually, I see that as positive.

The people's choice candidate will ask the right person for their VP on their own accord.

Thats all.... just my prediction.

1. I agree with you. It would kind of be like letting
the fox into the chicken coop.

2. I think each would weaken the other's ticket
They both kind of go against the other's message. Well, Obama as Clinton's VP is conceivable, but it's hard to say somebody isn't ready to be President and then nominate him as VP. On the flip side, it's simply inconceivable for Obama to run against the politics of the last 20 years and have someone named Clinton on his ticket.

3. Someone who is not ready to be president could be VP
and be trained for the presidency. But the other way around doesn't work. Clinton would undermine Obama's message of change.

While part of me would like to see them both on the ticket, I don't think Clinton works as Obama's VP, and I don't think he should be asked to step aside and be VP just because he is younger, when he has run the better campaign and will likely go into the convention with more delegates.
