Barack Obama is left handed

1)He has a funny name.

2)He has is a muslim sounding name

3)He isn't black enough.

4)He can't beat Clinton's organizations in the caucuses

5)He is too intellectual he won't inspire people.

6)He is too black

7)He won't be able to raise enough money

8) He is too inspirational

9) He won't last beyond Super Tuesday

10) The Latinos won't vote for him

11)His followers will wake up and realize they are being hoodwinked

12) People read emails that say he is a communist/muslim/madras going/no pledge of alliegence saying/republican plant

13) He can't debate

14) He can't win big states


So I am guessing that the only thing that hasn't been thrown at him is that "He is left handed".

Of course there is one more thing and that is once he is hit with some criticism and you would think since he just handled these other 14 things and they just didn't stick that you might think he will when they hit him with something really smart and clever. Just watch him buckle when they launch the "he is left handed" campaign.

I'm left-handed, too, but it was my right-handed hubby that pointed out to me Obama writing with his left hand during the debate last night. I never seem to notice handedness, but people point mine out to me when I write checks or sign receipts. I think it's funny. :)

Both sides may need to get real about a number of issues, even if we here can't.

I think they're doing pretty well. In spite of the media spin, this has not been a particularly ugly campaign. And if "my" candidate does not prevail, I will have no problem voting for her rival.

This should be a win-win election for the Democratic Party.

About 75% of my girlfriends have been left-handed.

I have no idea why; it's just worked out that way. But it is statistically remarkable. That's 10-12 times the incidence of left-handedness in the population.

A little context: I'm 49 now and I have been dating since I was 20. (Yes, I started late because of chronic illness that started in my teens, and I never married because I've had long periods of disability in my life, and that usually makes marriage difficult.)

So I've had a lot more girlfriends than most men have. (And a lot less sex, but that comes with the territory.)

A few years ago, I sat down and thought about what I liked about each one, and the pattern kinda jumped out at me. Then I made a list of my favorite female actors and celebrities, and the same pattern emerged. (There are actually websites where the handedness of stars is a criterion in the databases. Who knew?) It's not something I feel consciously attracted to, but there's something going on, on some level. Maybe Cupid has a warped sense of humor and I'm the butt of some great cosmic joke.

So that's your True Pigwidgeon Fun Fact for the day.
