UNBELIEVABLE!! Hillary Copies Bill Clinton Speech Verbatim in her closing remarks (MUST-SEE VIDEO) |
|
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ7Cs3QvT3UOK the "Plagiarism" issue is now completely DEAD. Can we get back to the issues now? Like Hillary's vote for Iraq or her helping Indian outsourcers?

She changed "this campaign" into "life". The point is borrowing speech motifs is not plagiarism. WHat got Biden into trouble was he denied it at first!

11. Unbelievably distorted OP |
|
First, nothing was repeated verbatim. There was no word for word repeating of what Bill Clinton said, there are clear similarities. Second it was either one or two sentances that are similar, not "a speech". Even the MSM controversies over this type thing at least mention "parts of" when they make this stuff an issue. Some think, by the way, that Hilary may have penned the original while working together with Bill on his campaign.

12. Why didn't she stop and say as my husband said once? |
|
She was trying to make everyone think she came up with it, when she was obviously copying Bill's 92 speech.
So she's as bad as Obama, which means it's all actually OK!

Wasn't there a post about his main speech writer? I forgot to actually read it when I saw it, but isn't he in his mid twenties? I don't ever assume that someone is too young to make critically important contributions to politics.

Opinions based on truth and observable fact are more valid than those based on fantasy and denial.
She is entitled to an opinion, but saying her opinion is as valid as yours is like saying the Swiftboaters opinion was as valid as Kerry's rebuttal.

|
SHE BROUGHT THIS CRAP ON HERSELF!
SHE WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO GO AFTER OBAMA WITH THE STUPID "XEROX" LINE
SHE USED HER HUSBANDS LINES WORD FOR WORD
SHE'S BEING CALLED ON IT - AS SHE SHOULD!!!!
It's like calling your opponent out for sleeping with a mistress, and then being caught in bed with your own mistress the next week. That's what this is.. it's COMPLETE HYPOCRICY... it's why people DO NOT LIKE THE CLINTONTS!
Shit like this is why people hate politics.. and Clinton flung the first fist full of mud.. and it turns out she's sitting in a big pile of her own.
This is going to be the moment that seals the Obama win.

28. Paul Begala was on Stephanie Miller |
|
and said that he, in fact, wrote those words. He also said that these charges of "plagiarism"--on both sides (although I haven't actually seen the Obama camp press this as the Clinton camp did)--are ludicrous. He said there are no such things as original ideas in politics, that everyone steals constantly, and that the whole thing is a non-starter.
He said that the way he does this himself is, the first time he says something, he says, "As my friend Bill Clinton says, 'Things are tough all over.'" Second time: "As a friend of mine says, 'Things are tough all over.'" After that: "As I've always said, 'Things are tough all over.'" The perfect, cynical response to a foolish, cynical political charge.

When I heard it on CNN and then on Olbermann, they made mention of it, then went on like it was nothing. Where's the outrage at her hypocracy??? Isn't this far worse than an exuberant victory yell that they crucified Howard Dean for??? Why isn't it being plastered on every news show! Granted it wasn't word for word, but neither was what Obama said. What a hypocrit! I knew she'd try "crying" again; but I gave her credit that she'd use her own thoughts. Her shining moment was "stolen"! Geez!
