6. Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Havan....a?
Oy, gewalt with this.

You'd think after spending years in prison for illegally bombing one country, he'd develop a bit of perspective.

9. John McCain is 81 years old
Same as Castro. If I were him, I wouldn't be making jokes about old men.

11. I think he is 71 years old. But anyway, he sure looks old compared to HRC or BHO. Bob Dole, deja vu.

16. You are correct
He will be 72 in August. He just seems older. :)

Neverthless, old man needs to not be joking about mortality.

13. *sigh*
This is a golden opportunity to begin to make tentative steps towards normalization of relations between the United States and Cuba. And, right on cue, we're squandering that opportunity. And why am I not surprised?

17. Remember George Bush when the Berlin Wall fell. He didn't have a clue about what to do. Failed to
get re-elected, though, since it was obvious to others that he was in his own little world, and not the real world.

18. On the contrary I thought he handled the situation quite well.
I felt Reagan would have danced all over the wall and made it all about him. Bush took a step back and let the Germans celebrate on their own terms.

I thought it to be quite a dignifed response, from a time where you could disagree with a president and he could at least still have the allusion of dignity.

20. I thought the commentary at the time, or a few years later, was that he had been given
a great opportunity at the time to end Communism's threat to Eastern Europe, once and for all, and had blown it, by not following through with an aid package that would have cemented democracy throughout the former Soviet Union.
Perhaps my judgment has been hampered by my attitude to anything Bush. Anyway, I will have to research it further on the internets.

19. Lovely...
That is how we are looking at foreign policy in a McCain administration.

If they disagree with us, we hope they die.

He's no better than Pat Robertson trying to put the whammy on those darned activist judges.

21. CNN situation room just replayed his line
"I hope he(Castro) has an opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon"

How can you say that about any person, much less a leader of another country, much less as a potential leader of this country?

Its tragic because when I read about his treatment in Indochina I developed a great deal of empathy for McCain...but it seems rumors of his temper are not exaggerated.

22. Well, for all his years in the Senate, McCain needs to learn a thing or two
He probably thinks he can get away with crap like that because it was in a small group setting.
