I write right handed but do absolutely everything else left handed. Think I was actually left handed from birth but kindergarten teacher wouldn't let me write with my left hand - probably explains my sucky handwriting.

Anyway - Barack supporter and so is my left-handed husband

I find it hard to believe 40% of DU is left-handed, thats 3 to 4 times more than the population at large.

... and to notice other people's handedness. Because righthanded people are such an overwhelming majority, they have adapted the entire human environment to the default orientation -- and so from their point of view, there's nothing noteworthy about any of this.

I think I didn't make the handedness part blatant enough though so I will include that in the next one. I find it hard to believe that the distribution of lefty versus righty is that close here, but I do find it interesting either way.

I am not completely lefty or righty. I write with my right hand and fire a rifle righthanded, but I bat, throw, shoot a hockey stick, swing a golf club, play tennis, etc left handed.

I suspect that I'm a lefty who was taught to write with the wrong hand. Anyone who has seen my "handwriting" would probably concurr.
