Obama Supporters: Evidently We Are Supposed To Be "Courting" Clinton Supporters
Should we trade some of our best pick-up lines to boost our chances? I'm always so shy.

Here's one I found that I thought sounded sweet and not too cheesy:

"If you were a tear in my eye I would not cry for fear of losing you."

Anyone else?

5. Funny, that's what I heard in the first post
This must be the "unity" thing we keep hearing about.

I guess if I were a Republican, my vote would matter.

7. I am sure that the mCcain bull shit express
...appreciates all efforts to divide and conquer the Democrats. I refuse to believe that any of my fellow DUers, especially ones with a thousand posts or more, would willingly do the bidding of bush or mcCain. Just sayin... and not returning for any flames. Just think about it k?

21. i actually BELIEVE in Obama's ideals of bringing people together...
especially on our side of the aisle.
spitting in the faces of clinton's supporters does absolutely nothing to help Obama, DU, or this country.

24. Don't take us for granted
Yes, I have been among the ones who constantly reminded DUers that the Supreme Court is in the balance. And when the race started I thought that I would feel good with any of them.

But the vicious attacks on Clinton's hair, face, breasts, thighs... everything except the issues, have really turned me off.

Has any of you expressed outrage when McCain chuckled when asked about "the bitch?" You can be that we, Clinton supporters would if the man in the audience would have asked McCain about the "n...r"

So right now I don't feel like voting for Obama.

And, you know, I am an older boomer like the Clintons and I am thinking that, frankly, I no longer care of McCain wins and Bush gets his legacy of a Supreme Court full of Thomases and Scalias. At our age, we no longer worry about freedom of abortion or being drafted. We will get our Social Security payments and you, the generation maybe, can go to hell.

11. 80% of Dem Clinton voters say they'll vote for Obama and vice versa.
That's a rough average of the exit polls I've seen in the primaries and caucuses thus far. Clinton has a harder time with independents than Obama.

There is no need for either to court each other's Dem voters. Clinton would have to court Obama's independent supporters.

18. Exactly!!! Hillary said last night the party would be united behind the candidate
THEY ARE FRIENDS, this is politics.

That is like saying you have to court your parents to support you.

McCain is no hero to the Republicans, one attack story in the NYT and they are all backing him and raising funds.

No wonder Dems lose elections, they are their own worst enemy.

Michael Dukakis was trying to imitate Margaret Thatcher's tank ride and botched it.

Now Hillary Clinton's trying to imitate Thatcher's campaign. And she botched it.
