Michelle Obama will say many stupid things.
Her recent comments, "This is the first time I've been proud of the US" are really only the second time she's embarrassed herself.

Months ago, Michelle implied she would oppose Hillary Clinton if Hillary won the Democratic nomination. link

For sure, Michelle is a nice person, educated, probably would make an acceptable first lady. But she MUST clean up her act, and show some party unity. I doubt she will learn before she says some really, really stupid things, though.

21. You have a short memory.
He's already stepped in it a couple of times, especially with his Jesse Jackson remark before the SC primary. In fact, he stepped in it so superbly that Hillary was asked for weeks afterward if she'd be able to "control her husband."

26.  "I repeatedly defended Bush against criticisms from the left" The biggest critic of Bush
from the left at that time of Bill's 3 week book tour where he publicly and repeatedly defended Bush's decisions on Iraq war was the Dem nominee, John Kerry.

Now THAT was a brilliant way to prop up Bush and undermine the Dem nominee - you really want to talk about party unity?

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/19/clinton.iraq/

Was Carville showing unity with Dems when he was sabotaging Ohio voters on election night? Or was he doing his JOB?
http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodward

And here's a CLASSIC case of Hillary showing unity.......with Bush and McCain against........John Kerry.

Michelle is one classy and brilliant lady.

I've seen her speak in person and she is so passionate that I can truly understand how the "big mistake" happened.

7. Actually, she's been doing a spectacular job
for someone who's never been in a national campaign and is out there day in and day out. And your claim that she said she'd oppose Hillary Clinton is completely false. shame on YOU. She said that she might not actively campaign for her and that is completely different from your spurious claim. She's made a couple of gaffes. that's it. you're simply smearing.

11. More Michelle Obama gaffes
on the Today Show:
"Why, yes, Katie, I do frequently beat my children with wire hangers. But that's only when the iron maiden is out for repairs."

at a campaign tour of a Baltimore homeless shelter:
"Eew, they're homeless."

apparently drunk during her 60 Minutes interview:
"Oh, Mike, Mike, you doooo have the sexshiest eyebrowzh..."

at a reelection rally for Houston mayor Bill White:
"White victory!! White victory!!"

Hmmma, perhaps the OP is onto something here.

12. Both Obamas have been almost preaching against Hillary as the nominee.
This is sowing many seeds of discontent. Hillary has never said that she would not support Obama or that Obama would not be a good President. In fact, she has said thay anyone of the Dem candidates would be a good President. Only Obama has said that Hillary could not win, she is divisive, and that his supporters might not give their support to her were she to win the nomination. Hillary has only said that the Dems would be united and that she thinks she would be the better President. She has also said that she would be better at facing off against the Republicans because she has done it before. There was nothing coming from the Clinton campaign that I heard that could be used against Obama in the GE but the opposite is true of Obama's campaign. That is not helpful to the Dems at all.

31. The "proud" comment has been well clarified, and...
As I have admitted, the "proud" comment was poorly worded, but even in it's original phrasing, taken in CONTEXT which the corporate media always leaves out, I never had a problem understanding what she meant to convey. She has since clarified her statement though. It is always a learning curve, and people in this business do need practice in language their language usage. She is certainly learning. Interesting though. Bill Clinton, with ALL that VAST experience, has stuffed his foot in his mouth with his negative Obama comments and barking at the press. Guess he needed a language tune-up because you now see that he has adjusted bigtime.

Even some of those with long careers in politics have made big gaffes. Remember Kerry's "I voted for it before I voted against it"? It was true but he should have known what the rethugs would have done with such a statement.

She seemed less than enthusiastic at the idea of outwardly supporting her, which I kind of disagree with, but that's a longshot away from saying she'd oppose her. Let's be honest with our context, ok?
