35. It's not hate - it's disbelief! She told the media that her staff was getting paid
She lied - check her FEC report look at how many people didn't receive pay in January!

34. Tell that to the college students that didn't get paid
Or the different Hy-Vee stores across the state that the campaign owes over $10,000 to. Think they'll just eat the loss? NO they'll pass it on to their customers whether they were Clinton supporters or not.

Tell it to the small school districts, YWCAs, YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs that still have to pay the staff for working on the days the Clinton rallies were held as well as the cost of opening up and lighting/heating/cleaning their buildings - who will cover their losses? Not the Clinton campaign they haven't paid for the venues yet.

Tell it to the owners of the small hotels and pizza places that were promised payment - their staff will get paid and suppliers will get paid but they won't. Where will the money come from.

Please to contribute all you can to her campaign - help her pay her PAST DUE bills.

48. Agreed!
Please contribute all you can so these people can get what is owed. Dont let this crap follow her into 2012.

Common Clinton supporters give her a fighting chance in 2012! Ask her to give it to Obama so he can work on getting rid of that scumbag the republicans decided they wanted to push aside Ron Paul for.

33. She hasn't paid her Iowa staff?
That's disturbing if it's true. I know money is tight, but they (and every campaign) ought to make staff salaries and payments to small vendors a priority. The field staff already work for next to nothing, and a lot of them are right out of school and trying to pay off student loans. They can't afford to just not get paid.

32. The Fact That Obama Is Falling Behind McDaddy In The Rasmussen Poll Should Give People Pause
I know it's one poll and it is Republimussen so it should be taken with a large grain of salt but Obama will never be riding higher than he is now and McDdaddy will never be riding lower... It's as good as it gets for Obama and as bad as it gets for McDaddy...

Yeah, McDaddy is beating Hillary too but he's beating her at her lowest point...

36. It is
entirely up to Senator Clinton to make that decision. But there is nothing wrong with democrats who want her to step aside now to speak up -- any more than it is wrong for Clinton supporters to voice their opinions.

Even within the Clinton campaign, there are differences of opinion. Some people want her to attack Obama more, and others do not think that would help her or the democratic party. There are very real concerns about what a negative campaign could do to the party. I think that Senator Clinton is aware of the potential harm that the advocates of negativity represent.

6. Maybe They Will Take A Second Look When They See Obama Is Losing To McDaddy
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 11:20 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that John McCain has gained ground against Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama. In a general election match-up, McCain now leads Obama 46% to 43%. He also leads Hillary Clinton 47% to 44% .

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

It's one poll and it is "republimussen" so I would take it with a large grain of salt... I also note McDaddy is beating Hillary but he is beating Hillary when she is at her nadir but he is beating Obama when he is at his apex ...

I remember just hours before the results from New Hampshire started coming in, reading all these articles from the MSM...stating things such as "On the verge of being rejected by voters once again" nad "Facing another defeat at the hands of Barack Obama" and then what happens? You are right. The media and many political types who personally know her just don't like her. They may respect her accomplishments and political power, they may agree with many of her political viewpoints and want to work with her, but I do not hear of very many "inside" people actually LIKE her.

and they started running their Obamathon shortly before the debate in which Russert served a silver platter filled with Clinton attacks to Edwards and Obama.

CNN capitulated to the Obama camp's request and removed Paul Begala and James Carville as pundits, but allowed Carl Bernstein, Roland Martin, Jack Cafferty and others to rip her apart every night, without any challenge.

42. The poster cannot possibly know if there are 17 people or one who posted 17 times.
All it says is IGNORED for each post by any person you have on IGNORE.

Frankly, anyone who makes such posts is just being pissy. I have people on IGNORE, but I never post "well, I see someone I have on IGNORE just posted in response" or crap like that. If one wants to tell another "I'm putting you IGNORE" and does it, fine. DONE. OVER. No point in ever mentioning it again.

I put people on IGNORE for chronically making stupid posts, no matter who they support or claim to support. People who start three threads on primary nights, THEN start bumping their OLD threads since they used their 3 thread limit, also on IGNORE.

The point of IGNORE is to get them off your screen, not to prance around threads and say "well, I see that 17 posters on this thread are IGNORED!!"

It's a shield, not a sword, and should be used accordingly.

If you hit ignore user
you can choose whether you want to ignore thread, replies or PMs or all three. Most people on my list are trolls that I have chosen to completely ignore on all fronts. In the words of Anthony Soprano they are "dead to me."

The probability of her winning is very, very slim. Multiple delegate count threads have been started on this topic.

49. All I have seen use the same premises that
a) Florida and MI will not be seated and
b) Superdelegates will vote with whoever wins the most pledged delegates.

I am not sure about either of those assertions.

30. It's premature
I am an Obama supporter, but I hate how the media does this. They were ready to write her obituary after Iowa too, and it looked like it was going to be a repeat of four years ago, when Dean was written off after Iowa and never given a chance to recover. Even though I support Obama, part of me was glad to see the voters of New Hampshire stand up this year and say "not so fast".

If she does not win Texas and Ohio, it might be time to start talking about her getting out of the race, but I don't like the way the media is writing her off and may be creating a self-fulfilling prophesy. It's not fair to her, and it's not good for Obama either, because it raises the expectations for him in states where she still has a lead. As much as I am addicted to the punditry, sometimes i wish they would just shut up and let the voters decide.

70. I am very impressed with your post.
You do not accept what the media has done to her even though you are an Obama supporter. Very classy and gracious of you. We, as Dems, need to be careful of the power we let the media have over us. Some people just believe everything they hear. I wish everyone were as tactful as you are re: the media and our Dem candidates. No matter who we support for the nomination, we can not tear down the other candidate. They are both United States Senators and are on our side...The Democratic side.

37. That is correct. Many Democrats of longstanding won't appear with the Clintons now.
Won't be seen at their events, either.

Certainly true in Texas.

It's 10 days until the Texas primary, and I do believe it will be the knockout punch that ends the Clinton campaign, irretrievably.

39. Democratic voters support Hillary. In a February 21st Ohio Poll ABC released
Clinton is ahead of Obama among registered Democrats by 55% to 39%. She is also ahead among union household voters in Ohio by 53% to 37%.

Democratic officials and office holders would be wise to consider the feelings of the members of their own Party before they write off Clinton before their members have a chance to vote.

47. On this point below, --so may Obamafolks have demeaned HRC supporters
for supposedly writing off voters of certain states ---their votes 'not counting"--but are now ready to 'not count" voters in large upcoming states--. (Calls for her to step aside-for the good of the party and all that crap)

Hypocrasy is a better word.

Democratic officials and office holders would be wise to consider the feelings of the members of their own Party before they write off Clinton before their members have a chance to vote.

71. With the exception of all those posts telling her to drop out NOW!
Then they add that she should do it for the good of the party!! We ARE the party and everyone deserves to vote in all of the states before a nominee is chosen. Just like Huckabee can stay in to give everyone a chance to vote, so should Clinton be able to remain to see it to the end. It is only right.

54. Nader is looking like a good choice.
I am a 67 year old white male, lifetime democrat who supported John Edwards and I am not particularly a fan of Hillary. However, I cannot believe the bashing she is receiving in the media as well as on this board. I could never bring myself to vote for John McLiar, however if Nader decides to enter the fray, I believe I could give him serious consideration this time. This only because of the way my party is behaving.
