At this point, Clinton is hoping for a major Obama gaffe, scandal, or outing of some kind |
|
She and her campaign and countless others are not so stupid as to be unrealistic about her chances of actually winning the nomination. Numbers do not have a bias, and we all know (save for the few delusional Clinton supporters) that the probability is next to zero. She has to win over 60% from here on out just to catch up. That is not my opinion, that is a fact.
So why is Hillary Clinton not dropping out of this race?
Hope.
She hopes Obama says something, does something, anything wrong. Sure, she and her campaign are throwing as much mud as possible (plagiarism), hoping for something to stick, but in the end this is Obama's nomination to lose. He has to make a mistake.
A slip of the tongue probably wouldn't be enough, but that depends on what he says, obviously. Some kind of outing or a scandal from his past would possibly do it. Either way, Ms. Clinton knows that this is over, but her ambitions for power override any good for the party or the country that her dropping out by March 4th would do.

March 5th this can end, and the GE campaigning can commence.

At least we'll know that our nominee is bullet-proof once the Clinton slime machine is done with him.

Today's "outrage" is that Obama met with some former Black Panther years ago.
These are so-called Democrats, mind you.

Black Panthers were what the right wing connected Hillary to. But that doesn't stop the Clinton campaign from doing the same to Obama, does it? :puke:

It is pretty despicable. These Hillary Clinton trolls are willing to sacrifice this election if they don't get their way.

|
I don't like to see it, and I don't like to say it, but it's true. Many of them won't vote for Obama if he's the nominee- more Clinton supporters seem to say that than Obama supporters. And many of them would actually like to see him lose, despite the extreme damage that McCain would do.
Despicable.

I have no intention of voting for Hillary, but I don't see the point of detracting from discourse by throwing a tantrum about it.

But....I hope to God that if Obama does have any skeletons in his closet they come out now, rather than after he has secured the nomination. Then, we're really cooked.

Never. Not once. In her entire adult life, was she once proud of her country.
That's pretty damn big.

and it was completely pre-empted by McCain's little story. Plus, the Obama campaign effectively defused it. I'm sure it will be dredged up in November, but that's life and they'll have to deal with it. Anyway, aren't you one of those that won't vvote for him?

As Obama said - this is silly season.

it under wraps, if possible, until the appropriate time, that being when their corporate masters tell them to "let it rip".
What evidence do you have that this woman's passion for power exceeds her passion for her country? How the hell does straightening out this mess we find ourselves in possibly point to a passion for power? She will be reorganizing the closet; soothing over hurt feelings; watching the grits boil while holding the baby and talking over the phone, you know multi-tasking; putting bandaids and antibiotic cream on sores and scratches to prevent further inflamation and rushing to the emergency room to save the day.
Gosh, sounds like every day in a woman's life. I guess she has had 35 years of experience. The Lady should be President of the United States!
