Hillary Is Flailing Around In Complete Desperation Today. What A Mess
She's spiraling the drain and she's lashing out in a way that's already backfiring. It's truly ghastly to watch her lose it like this. She's playing the 9/11 fear, fear, fear card, she's attacking Obama on faux charges of things she's been found culpable of. She's comparing him to Rove and bush.

This kind of behavior is what convinces me that she's hanging by slimmest of threads.

17. Why do you hate democracy?
What are you so afraid of that you want Hillary to concede now? What is the difference if it happens today as opposed to two weeks from now? Let the process play out, there are two big states up for grabs in less than two weeks. If you are so sure of Obama, then these additional two weeks should mean nothing to you.

She just lost 11 elections in a row(after he tied her in the first half of the states)... did you NOT think that would give him a 98.5% chance of being the nominee?

Oh, and I believe in Democracy... the people have spoken and they have choses "Obama"

39. 2 weeks could mean utter ruin for Clinton's 2012 chances and even her future seats.
Pulling this crap at the last min while being heavily documented and on record means easy pickings on her later.

Hillary!, Her supporters! ITS TIME TO END THIS!

Have Texas if you must but another day after than and you are just playing scorched earth. Which will result in more ruin for her later.

But do you really for one second think that if Hillary had put together Obama's winning streak that the Clinton's wouldn't be dishing out scorn and telling everyone that it is over.

Barack has won the following

primaries
delegates
votes
money
newspaper endorsements

Now if she wants to subject herself to further humiliation I will not try to dissuade you or her but just one thing:

Texas counts.

Clinton camp wanted to cast Kerry as the Gerald Ford sacrificial lamb
candidate in preparation for what they saw as an inevitable wartime loss
to the Republicans -- and said so.

She was paving the way for her current run, and everyone at the time knew it.

http://republicansforobama.org/?q=node/359

E-mail to send to Texas Republicans

Attention All Texas Republicans and Independents!!

On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton's (and Bill's) presidential ambitions once and for all!

Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, "she's done!" Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!

Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.

After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes.

I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama. Please forward this e-mail to all your Texas Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton's defeat on March 4th!!!

83. No matter what the subject of the thread
you post the same tired bullshit.

IF, and I say IF, the republicans are crossing over to vote for Barack in large numbers, it is either

a) They think he might just be the best candidate

or

b) They really hate Hillary, are resigned to losing in November with McCain, and want to do anything to stop Hillary

It's NOT because they WANT to face Obama (as has been postulated but unproven here in thread after thread) because they think he is the easier candidate to beat.

But this thread isn't about this... it's about Hillary's desperate play today about mailers... and it's pathetic.

121. If Obama is smart he will reach out to these "Obamicans" the way Reagan did to "Reagan Dems"...
Regardless of their reasons for voting in the primary.

Look, Obama and Clinton can't get much farther right without being
moderate Dems themselves... Therefore Obama could be the ultimate
starter kit for self-described moderate Republicans to move left,
whereas Clinton is the ultimate death for liberalism because her
policies will be identified as the undesirable far left in Nov,
placing anyone to the left of her beyond the pale.

The funny part is, if she had come on DU (not that I would ever expect anyone who wanted to keep their sanity to) and looked at Obama supporters' posts...well, we've been telling her exactly what she's been doing wrong this entire campaign. 30. I thought her persona for this week would be soft and gentle.
They've made an ad out of her "moment" from the debate so I just assumed she'd be in full southern belle mode. Of course, that's not who she actually is as a person, but if she could find a way to pull it off, it actually could work. We southern women have a way of cutting people at the knees without them even noticing it. In fact, they say, "thank you!" LOL!

That was all scripted and pre-planned, to try to make an emotional appeal to get her female base back, is what I meant.

I thought it was so bizarre, her closing comments at the debate. She looked, for the first time to me, like she has finally realized that she will not win the Democratic nomination, and that she was somehow coming to terms with that.

46. No, I think this got under Hillary's skin:
Yesterday:

Ohio:
Clinton 48% (-3)
Obama 40% (+3)

Texas:
Clinton 47% (-7)
Obama 44% (+6)

link

Today:

Ohio, Texas uphill climbs for Clinton:

The Illinois senator has mobilized his party's left wing, a big help in caucus races where party activists and fired-up newbies are key. And he's drawn crossover Republicans and independents to primaries in which they are allowed to vote.

<...>

Moreover, both states let people vote early. Obama, fresh from his Wisconsin victory on Tuesday, didn't wait for the dust to settle before exhorting Texans to vote right away. "I don't want you to wait until March 4," he said. Clinton, with a head start in campaigning in Texas, also appealed for an early lock on votes.

In the 22 contested Democratic primaries so far, independents made up 22 percent of the vote and they supported Obama by an overwhelming margin of 64 percent to 33 percent. Crossover Republicans, a far smaller percentage in the Democratic primaries, backed him 55-33.

Yet Obama has had the left flank covered, too: a 52-44 advantage over the New York senator among those who consider themselves very liberal.

... that she's pulling it here. What a bunch of crap... the health care mailer has been around since before Super Tuesday, and yes she says someone in the Cincy crowd handed it to her and then she whips up all of this sudden, "spontaneous" outrage?

I hope she sends Bill out to whip it up and wag his finger and get all red-faced. That usually gives Obama a 5-10 point jump in the polls. :-)

Which I'm guessing you've never seen. At the end of the movie, Bogart goes bonkers, giving a completely whacked out monologue as he rolls two worry balls in his hand. Classic scene which has been done ad infinitum by Bogie imitators, and the worry balls are paramount. Nothing to do with testicles or the lack thereof. Really.

126. The dream of a lifetime dies hard
But like quicksand, the more she lashes out, the deeper in she gets. After training for this for years, only to see a newcomer go breezing by her toward the finish, she is angry. The more he talks about hope, the more she seems to say, "I've known this guy for years. He's not any better than me. He's not so special." A message guaranteed not to resonate. She knows she can't sell the package that Obama is selling. And no matter how hard she works, he gets adoring press. Yeah, she's eating her liver right now ("enough with the huge rallies!"), but she will continue to lash out until the numbers crush her campaign.

With every day that passes, the inevitability factor passes toward Obama.

I can understand why. For all politicians there's an element of personal ambition, hopefully combined with an element of service to others, that motivates them. Most people have a very difficult time dealing with the death of their dream. Very few people can react in a dignified way in that situation.

She was the front runner. She has been outgeneraled. Reality is sinking in and it hurts.
