To the so called "Clinton-Cultists", WHY? |
|
I'm seriously curious about this. What makes you continue with your support?
When she speaks, it's like she's reading or programmed. She seems plastic to me. Her arrogance is beyond Bush levels sometimes.
With the hypocrisy, and bad management of her campaign and her money, her possibly corrupt past, and everything else(and there is a lot), what is it that keeps all of you supporting her?
Is it just blind support of your original choice because you don't want to "Flip Flop"? Is it that you don't want to admit you were wrong?
I'm serious here. This is rapidly approaching Fanboyism. What keeps you supporting her? I just need to know, cause to me, I cant figure out what kind of person would still be behind her, cept maybe a scorned female who's overly optimistic about a female candidate.
Please respond civilly with honest reasons.
Thank you.

And trust me, I can handle anything you have to offer this world.
This is rapidly approaching Fanboyism.
And Obama supporters are cultists. How are these two expressions different? I'll take, "They aren't" for a $200 Alex.
I cant figure out what kind of person would still be behind her, cept maybe a scorned female who's overly optimistic about a female candidate.
LOL...no, that's not an insult to anyone. :eyes:

6. I only meant, that's the kind of person I could see supporting her. It wasn't meant as an insult. |
|
I'm half Samoan, and if there was a Samoan candidate, I could see many of Samoans, maybe even myself, supporting that candidate to the end. That's all I meant by it.

Right. Calling my candidate programmed, plastic, arrogant, possibly corrupt encourages civil, honest reasons. Calling me a blind supporter and a"scorned female" really makes me want to respond with "honest reasons." :sarcasm:

Why don't you listen to yourself? Read your post, if you can, from the point of view of the recipient. Yes, I realize imagining a point of view other than your own may be difficult if not impossible for you, but do try. And see what an asshole sounds like.
BTW, it's "perceive." DU's spell checker can be your friend.

5. The same arguments can be made for the "Obama-Cultists" with the exception |
|
that Obama is ahead right now.
I voted for Edwards in the primary, and I am committed to vote for whomever is the nominee for the Democratic Party. That being said, I have seen a lot of hostility and bile coming from both the Clinton and Obama camps, and it is quite frankly immature and unbecoming. We as Democrats and Liberals/Progressives are better than this.

10. Why are you so quick to ignore the question, and label me as an Obama supporter? |
|
Now, being Military, you'd assume I was a McCain supporter, but I'm not. If Hillary had shown she could be a candidate for the people, someone who didn't seem programmed, I may have supported her.
But in a time where Elected Officials almost never do what they Say they will do while they're running for office, the c-factor comes in to play. CARE. Who seems to honestly care for this country, and care about it's people? Who seems like they'll actually give their best effort to do what they say. I don't vote based on what's on paper anymore, because that hasn't worked well lately. And I don't vote based on who has corporate experience, or Washington experience, cause our current administration has killed that argument for me.

It deserved as serious and as unbiased a response as was the manner in which it was presented. Hillary-cultists?? Recall that? As far as you being Military, I have not one clue whether you are what you say you are, or not. That said, I assume nothing about you other than if you post in the fire-pit of GDP, you either support Hillary or Obama, being as they are the 2 running for the Democratic Party. This is Democratic Underground you know, a McCain supporter wouldn't be here long. I do not have to explain my support to you just to have a pile on of Obama supporters attacking my reasons. Just vote your conscience and vote Democratic.

I support her because I like her health care plan, her plan to stop foreclosues, and her plans to stimulate the economy...
But Barack and her differ little on the issues... It's a difference in presentation... Some people like the flash and pageantry of the Patriots and some folks like the blue collar grittiness of the Giants... Hillary to me represents the latter...
