Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 04:54 PM by tekisui
Sorry, Hillary, you blew it. Comparing Obama to rove, publicly shaming and belittling him?

Saying "Enough with the rallies and enough with the speeches"?

Who is this going to appeal to, other than pukes? Whose votes do you expect to gain from this? And, which multi-millionaire consultant told you this was a good idea?

Let's "get real", I am embarrassed and ashamed for your un-professionalism, today.

37. like lapfog said, the key word is "Big".
Obama's rallies are about 20,000 attendees each. Hers, I understand, are more like 7,000. Yeah I'd say envy does enter into it.

I wonder if, after losing the nomination, she'll even care to remain in the Senate. We'll see I guess.

Now she is exhibit A of the kind of politics that Barack is trying to get past. I think most

51. Her "emotional" moment in last debate was phony. She is using it on a campaign ad.
WASHINGTON (CNN) – Democrat Hillary Clinton is launching a new ad in Ohio and Texas Saturday that features portions of her widely-praised final answer in CNN's debate last week — the campaign's latest effort to make the moment a defining one in the New York senator's White House bid.

The 60 second spot called "Resolved" shows much of Clinton's final moment at Thursday's debate during which she said, "You know the hits I've taken are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country."

"I resolved at a very young age that I'd been blessed and that I was called by my faith and by my upbringing to do what I could to give others the same opportunities and blessings that I took for granted," Clinton is also seen saying in the ad.

Bill Clinton also sent a fundraising e-mail to supporters Saturday seeking $1.3 million dollars to run the ad in all the March 4 primary states.

"Everyone in the upcoming primary states of Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, and Vermont needs to see that moment," the former president writes in the e-mail.

45. he does want universal health care, though.
He just has a different approach. He has said that if he were to start from scratch, he'd be for single payer health care. But he has to pragmatically work with the system we've already got in place. So his plan is to make it affordable for all people using government help, and mandating coverage for all children--because we already have health care for children in place with S-CHIP. It's a case if incrementally working toward more and more coveage, until such time as we can actually go to single-payer health care like progressive countries have.

60. that's exactly the problem
That's why Obama can't just scrap the whole system and start over. The insurance companies have a lot of power. But that's why he's also talking about getting rid of lobbyist influence. It stops so much progress from happening. For now, subsidizing insurance for people will have to do until we can get something better.

Fortunately, Hillary and her people have torpedoed their own campaign. Obama has been able to stay above the fray, and has not lowered himself to beat her.

That makes it more likely that all Dems will be able to unite about Obama in November.
