11. Agreed. She was playing her politics. |
|
If she was really being unfairly attacked by Obama's mailings then she would have sounded great. But I do not think she had been attacked by him on her health care plan. She was basically lying and she was committing the unfair Rovian attack. Just what I would expect from her. I am so glad many here see it too. I think she has been surprised that the masses are not just buying the BS she's selling. I used to really admire and support HC. Now I strongly dislike her.

5. Yes, but it was planned - both flyers have been around for a month |
|
and she didn't go after him about them. (why not at the debate? He was right there why not ask him about them??)
She can't afford ads
She can't afford flyers
All she can do is schedule press conferences and feign outrage.

8. she has been sending out misleading flyers about Obama since Iowa. |
|
she is a hypocrite. I just hope that someone in the media calls her on it. CNN is just letting the comments stand. I'm livid about it.

10. I know - I'm in Iowa! I heard her speech about how she started the plan |
|
that is now IDEA (which I ask Joe Biden's staff about since he was one of the first sponsors of the law :eyes:) I got the flyers from both campaigns. I (sadly) attended the rallies at the Boys and Girls Club, National Cattle Congress, Gallagher-Bluedorn - all sites that haven't been paid for those events yet - Don't worry about the media not covering Obama's response, they're not taking her outburst seriously. CNN is laughing at her, I'm sure the others will be following suit.

Thing is ... I don't think she can afford an attack. Only if that 527 gets off the groud for her. Otherwise she'll have to keep calling press conferences and yell at Obama through them.

weeks/months and previously publicly responded to by Clinton campaign.

|
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 07:19 PM by Eric J in MN
Right-winger Michelle Malkin would probably consider anyone who regularly posts at DU as "unhinged" (Malkin wrote " Unhinged: Exposing Liberals Gone Wild.")
Sounding angry doesn't mean going crazy.

20. Bad political theatre and a Lose/Lose for her. Only two options here 1) She |
|
truly became unhinged and lost control, resulting in a very undignified rant unbecoming the Future Leader of the Free World. or
2) She didn't really come unglued, she was acting in political theatre, in which case she is a liar and disingenuous and willing to do anything including destroying the future Nominee and the Democratic Party to gain power.
Both 1 and 2 are Fatal Blows to her already Failing Campaign.

25. It was a hastily thought-out and ill-conceived strategy, and if she has no better judgement than |
|
to allow someone to put words/actions like that in her mouth, and to blindly follow what a strategist tells her to do rather than follow her "better angels" (if she has any, that wasn't evident today).. then she is NOT a leader. She is a follower.

|
all the states/caucuses/primaries Obama won, didn't matter. Anything drastic she does at this point is simply destructive, mainly to herself unfortunately :-)

I can understand her wanting to try something new, but she should have come up with something ELSE new to do instead of getting angry and shouting at a press conference.

particularly when one could see Governor Strickland standing behind her mouthing the very same words Hillary was spewing.
Hillary is good at playing the victim.

When I first heard about the "ranting" (before I saw the clip), I thought she'd be frothing at the mouth. But it wasn't like that at all. Blown out of proportion, IMO.

...this wasn't another case where a politician was described as angry when he or she actually seemed calm.
It's not like the "Dean Scream" where he was portrayed as angry when he wasn't angry at the time.

I can honestly understand the level of emotion she must be coping with- but she dissapointed me in her response.
