"O" supporters here have shown what his Hallmark words really mean - nothing - they are empty...
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 07:29 PM by Skip Intro

Oh, he said HOPE. Oh, he said CHANGE. Oh, he said UNITY.

You see how that's been put into action here.

Hate in place of hope. Rovian tactics instead of change. Division instead of unity.

All talk, meaningless slogans, empty rhetoric.

I'll pass on that Koolaid now, and I'll pass on it in November.

I'd rather not vote than to vote for bullshit.

Thanks for showing us the true spirit behind the words the great and mighty "O" peddles. They turn out to be just words after all.

Hate-filled, sexist thread after hate-filled sexist thread.

Pretend it isn't so all you like, one quick scan will prove the opposite.

20. It's not really Obama or his supporters I don't like, it's the bullshit and the hypocrisy.
Your post is a perfect example.

Take a quick scan of this forum. So many hatefilled threads posted by supposedly hopeful Obama supporters who want unity and change from politics as usual, but that doesn't stop them from shredding Hillary for every little move or word. Take a look. Hope and unity my ass.

And you say I should build my candidate up instead of saying something bad about Obama.

That's rich.

turned on DU and the majority of posts could be negative for Obama. You know that. This is just a bitch fest coming from you. I don't recall a positive thread you've started on your candidate.
So try it; I know if I don't agree, I won't post in it but you have every right to gather your fellow supporters around and congratulate her for something. So do it, and quit your moaning.

you can do what you please because as far as I am concerned either candidate is exceptional, especially when compared to the mccain, who promises more war and no right to privicy

As far as obnoxious people on DU, no matter whether they are from the Obama camp or the Clinton camp, they only speak for themseleves

I understand your point though, and don't blame you, but I have seen the self-destruction on both sides, and do not like it either

Good luck with whatever you do

For that matter, why doesn't Hillary? Today all we seemed to get was her dissing Obama's mailers and shame and Rovian yadayada....

It is getting late. The campaign is almost over. What are the reasons to vote FOR Hillary?

Sorry, but I haven't heard much of that at all on these boards. There is just as much Obama hatred as Hillary hatred if not more.

You had all the advantages. You started as the front runner. Had the big chunk of media attention. You were up by 30-40% in the polls. Had all the money. You had plenty of time to tell us why to vote FOR Hillary.

It's not too late. WHY?

24. well, Hillary's rage has really improved your ability to deal with
frustration in a positive way then eh?

I find it pretty disengenuious for her to come out all 'outraged' by mailings that she feels paint her in a negative light- ones that she is offended by, but which are very VERY similar in tone and type as those she herself has been sending out throughout the campaign.

Her 'leadership' - that is, the way she conducts herself in this primary- sets the 'tone' for her supporters in many sub-consious ways. Your outrage over the mailings is way over the top- (IMO).

Your post, only serves to reinforce my opinion that the last thing we need in the White House is a person who has a very short temper, one who strikes out at those they feel have harmed them by attempting to "SHAME" them-

As one who has survived the out of control rage of a parent and a spouse, I have no interest in supporting a president with similar issues.

peace~

47. I've been turned off to voting for Obama for a long time
I came to Hillary only as a last resort because she was the last person left standing against Obama. Of course the virulent attacks against HRC do nothing to raise my opinions of Obama or his supporters. They serve only to solidify my opinion that Obama is not someone I want as a president.

Hillary can vote for Obama if she chooses and as is her prerogative. I won't, as is mine.

27. Responses from more hardline Clinton people will show me how much we all value the word "Democrat"
At this point, Obama is our future. I worked with the Al Gore folk in the beginning, then moved onto Edwards when it was clear Gore wouldn't run, and now I'm with Obama. There's no choice at this point -- it's going to be Obama. At this point, either we help Democrats, or we help the GOP. There is no third way in this situation. If wishes were horses, etc, etc. We only have one option
and ANY Democrat is better than ANY Republican, who will run on a defined plank made of homophobia, sexism, racism and war-mongering.

Of course, I've made similar posts like this giving explicit detail, in my own words combined with platform specifics from the campaign. And no one responds. It's because its a bullshit charge.

Come to think of it.... I haven't heard any more SPECIFICS from Hillary either. She wants to "get things done in Washington?" Great... WHAT THINGS? I look forward to your impending departure from DU. You can start another site where you can cry about how mean we are.

Have a good day.

Oh, and to the other Hill supporters on this board who aren't selfish self pitying whimps, I welcome you to join us in the fight to defeat the Republicans come Nov. Even the tiny minority of you who were rude. That I can handle. The selfish self pitying stuff I'm not so good with.

Also, I have zero problem with anyone who can't support any/either candidate for any reason. As adults, people have to make up their own minds. But please take responsibility for your decision. Blaming anonymous posters on a discussion board for what is your own personal decision is pathetic, highly unattractive, and about as lame as it gets.
