As soon as Hillary starts to regain my respect |
|
she pulls her "bring'em down at any costs" campaign strategy again. I'll never vote for this lady come the GE. I was starting to reconsider it after the debate on Thursday.
Fool me once, blah blah blah. You know that saying.

Shrill, nasty, insulting, unable to answer the issue without a personal attack.

Mark Penn confirmed with Politico a couple hours ago that part of her campaign moving forward will be a "mix of sharp and soft" http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8651.html

I fell for her little tug at the heartstrings the other night, though I knew it was a calculated act designed to pull at heartstrings. But now I'm feeling less charitable.
I still plan to vote for her in November, assuming she gets the nomination fair and square. If she doesn't I don't know what I'd do...I can't imagine I'd go through with any decision not to vote for her, much as I'd like to think otherwise. I went through the "I'm not voting for Kerry" phase for a little while in 2004 after Dean dropped out but I got over it.

She's as manic, as he is mellow. I've been wondering all along about her sense of entitlement. Not as much about her need to overstate her qualifications.
I think the reality of losing, of hearing others' relief that she was conceding at the debate, but also that health care-which she felt her signature issue and a winner over Obama-has now been questioned, has unleashed this emotional tailspin. Somehow, smarts and what she has to offer are not enough.
No doubt after March 4th the party will elders come to her, if the mailers don't stick. Don't think they will.
And yes to below: I wonder if they can get away, again, with the same lackluster support they gave to Kerry, needing him to lose so they can get the nomination. There will be many more Dems in support than we had in 2004.
edit: OOPS, answered on wrong thread. Commenting on outburst, side by side, elsewhere.
