Obama beats McCain by double digits in Iowa, Hillary LOSES |
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080224/NEWS09/802240333Perhaps most telling is this: Obama, who benefited in the caucuses from a flood of participation from independents, received support from 52 percent of voters in the new poll who described themselves as independent, compared to 29 percent for McCain.
Meanwhile, McCain received support from 53 percent of independent voters against Clinton, who was the choice of 28 percent of independents.

1. Which states border Iowa? |
The msm never mentioned this but they sure loved to mention North Carolina bordering South Carolina...

4. It makes sense Obama runs better than her in a neighboring state |
It also shouldn't have come as a surprise that he won Iowa. That was kind of like Edwards winning South Carolina and Clark Oklahoma in 2004.

5. Now that is a real sign of strength |
15 in New Mexico? NM was a cliffhanger in the last two elections and is next to Arizona. St. John should be winning there or at least competitive. However, as Herman posted, you can cherry pick states to make the opposite argument. He chose Massachusetts and I think the other state was Ohio.

7. People in western or central Iowa love Chicago politicians? |
Hell I have a tough time seeing people in eastern Iowa doing so just because they happen to be close to the state that contains Chicago. Not enough to account for a well over double digit difference too.
